Hizbullah 'Losing Control over South Lebanon,' Report
Despite Israel's assertion that Hizbullah is "gradually losing its grip over south Lebanon," the Jewish state has renewed its campaign against the smuggling of arms to Hizbullah via Syria and warned of the possibility that Hizbullah possesses anti-aircraft weapons.
The Israeli Yediot Aharonot newspaper, which carried the report, cited security sources as saying that the latest Katyusha attack from south Lebanon was the work of a Palestinian faction and not Hizbullah.

The sources stressed that Hizbullah has begun to lose its control over south Lebanon.

Meanwhile, Israeli Industry Minister Benjamin Ben-Eliezer, warned against the ongoing smuggling of arms from Syria, stressing that arms smuggling to Hizbullah "continues daily."

Deputy Israeli Defense Minister Matan Vilnai, for his part, said it would be difficult to "take seriously calls for the resumption of negotiations with the Syrians, at a time when Damascus continues to transfer weapons to Hizbullah."
