Issam Suleiman: Constitutional Council Not Affected by Political Scene

President of the Constitutional Council Issam Suleiman said that "there is no relation between the Constitutional Council and what happens on the political scene, and no one can push it to political conflicts or make it a scapegoat in clashes with others."
Suleiman told MTV network that those who attacked the council did not read the verdicts content and do not know the nature of the council's role nor its jurisdiction field.

Suleiman described the media attacks as tendentious and added that its verdicts were totally away from any political cover stressing that the only cover of the verdicts was the law.

President of the Constitutional Council said the verdicts were not affected by the consensus or dispute atmospheres because the council's verdicts "represent only justice."
