Israel Drops Anti-Nasrallah Leaflets on Beirut
Israeli warplanes early Saturday dropped leaflets on Beirut depicting Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah as a cobra threatening to strike out at the Lebanese capital.
"To the Lebanese people, beware: he appears to be a brother, but he is a snake," said the green leaflet showing a caricature of the face of a bespectacled Nasrallah in his black turban rolled in the shape of a snake.

In the picture, Nasrallah is lashing out at the capital and its suburbs.

Packages of leaflets, tied to parachutes, were dropped at dawn in downtown Beirut, but were swiftly rounded up by Lebanese security forces.

The Israeli air force Thursday dropped leaflets calling on civilians to avoid strongholds of Hizbullah, a day after Israel launched an offensive after the group's capture of two Israeli soldiers.

Israeli forces struck Nasrallah's office and home in Beirut's Shiite-dominant southern suburbs, prompting the Hizbullah chief who escaped the attacks to declare an "open war" against the Jewish state.(AFP)
