Beirut Marathon to Be Held on Sunday
The Beirut International Marathon that was postponed after the assassination of Industry Minister Pierre Gemayel will be held next Sunday, the Marathon association has said on its website.
The Marathon Village will open at the Beirut Port on Wednesday, a statement posted on the association's website said.

Roads that will be used by runners will close at 6:30 am Sunday and will gradually open as the last runner passes through, according to the statement.

The slogan of this year's marathon is "For the Love of Lebanon."

The run was going to be held on Sunday November 26 but last week's assassination of Gemayel postponed the event for one week.
