Aoun Preaches Trouble in Bekaa, Hammers Saniora
Free Patriotic Movement leader Michel Aoun has attacked Premier-designate Fouad Saniora and asked for a timeframe limiting his efforts to form a new cabinet.
Aoun, addressing a press conference following a meeting by members of his Change and Reform bloc at his residence in Rabiyeh on Monday, said new parliamentary consultations should follow the new timeframe so that "we would be able to find out if Saniora is still nominated by majority of the MPs."

The FPM leader also spoke of information regarding alleged schemes to attack "certain posts" in the Bekaa Valley. But he did not disclose further details pertaining to who is planning to attack what.

Aoun said caretaker Defense Minister Elias Murr is "not neutral and should not be nominated to a government portfolio as a neutral person."

Aoun reiterated that "I do represent the Christians" and said designating Saniora to form the new cabinet is a "war plan."
