Berri Meets Families of Plane Crash Victims, Promises Financial Aid
Speaker Nabih Berri on Wednesday revealed that "a financial aid was decided for the families of the Ethiopian jet victims," noting that "this is an aid from the Lebanese State and has nothing to do with any compensations."
"This is an aid that will be granted to everyone, including the families of our Ethiopian brothers who were on the plane," Berri added after his meeting with the families of the ill-fated plane victims.
Berri also revealed that Middle East Airlines will launch an indirect route to Africa through Belgium in June in addition to another direct route to Africa subsequently.
"Active embassies and consulates will be established in all diasporas, especially in Africa," he added.
