Aoun: Dahyieh Doesn't Have Its 'Own Security'
Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun on Wednesday stressed that Dahyieh does not have a security of its own and added that the Lebanese State should be responsible for security, "especially upon the occurrence of crimes."
"The press should not publish more 'explosive' analysis reports about the explosion because journalistic analysis is different than what took place in reality," said Aoun after the weekly meeting of Change and Reform parliamentary bloc.
Answering a question about the latest speech of Hizbullah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Aoun said: "I have said more dangerous things than what Sayyed Nasrallah said about the conditions of the Christians, the Israeli invasion had displaced the Christians, and Nasrallah's words do not contradict with what is happening on the ground."
"What a weird coincidence that where Israelis and Americans exist, Christians are not being protected, and I remind Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea of what I had warned him of in the past: Any clashes in Lebanon, of any kind, would subject the Christians to danger," added Aoun.
On the other hand, Aoun asked whether municipal elections would take place on the specified date and said he wanted to know the government's stance on the subject.
