Mirza Orders Arrest of Female Suspect of Justice Palace Bomb Threats

Prosecutor General Saeed Mirza issued an arrest warrant against a woman who in collaboration with her brother made several bomb threats to the Baabda Justice Palace through phone calls that later turned out to be a hoax.

“The woman (M. Sh. Sh.) in collaboration with her brother (B. Sh. Sh.), who is currently in Canada, made the threat calls to the Criminal Court registry at the Justice Palace in Baabda on June 24 and July 8,” the National News Agency reported on Saturday.

The woman and her brother intended to “postpone the hearing of a man before the Criminal Court known as H. D. S., who was arrested on drug trafficking charges,” the report said.

The NNA said that the arrest order was made “after a series of ongoing investigations that Prosecutor Mirza carried out in cooperation with the Telecommunications Ministry.”
