100 Shells Launched during 'Intense' Israeli Military Drill in Shebaa Farms

The Israeli army launched on Wednesday more than 100 heavy artillery shells during military exercises in the occupied Shebaa Farms and the eastern outskirts of the Golan Heights.

"Live ammunition were used during the drill and explosions were heard in neighboring border towns,” the state-run National News Agency, noting that the exercises were "intense."

The NNA detailed: “155 millimeter caliber heavy artillery that are located in the Golan, specifically in Zaoura and Amfit emplacements, shelled towards plain areas of Shebaa and towards the surroundings of the army's positions inside the Farms.”

Different Israeli military branches participated in the maneuver, among them the Air Force, the Artillery Corps and soldiers and armored vehicles and Merkava tanks were also used, according to the same source.

"Israeli drones and helicopters flew over the Golan Heights and the Shebaa Farms simultaneously with the launch of the military exercises.”
