Conflicting Reports on Israeli Violation of Blue Line
An Israeli bulldozer crossed the U.N.-drawn Blue Line and entered Lebanese territories in the area of Hounine-al-Abbad, the state-run National News Agency reported on Wednesday.
The bulldozer stayed there for more than 20 minutes, it said.
It was backed by an eight-member unit from the Israeli army and a Humvee, the agency added.
But spokesman for the U.N. Interim Force in Lebanon Andrea Tenenti later denied that Israeli troops crossed the Blue Line, reported NNA.The Lebanese army and U.N. peacekeepers went on high alert and carried out patrols in the area.
