Drug Lord Captured in Sidon
One of the most wanted drug dealers was arrested on Friday evening in the southern city of Sidon, the state-run National News Agency reported.
"A force from the Anti-Drug Bureau in the South managed to arrest one of the most wanted outlaws accused of promoting and dealing with drugs,” the NNA said.
It identified the detainee as M.T. and noted that he was captured at the entrance of Sidon's seaport.
The NNA detailed on the arrest: “As agents were trying to capture him, a group of the suspects' friends gathered, triggering troops to fire gunshots in the air to disperse them.”
"M.T. was referred to the competent judiciary,” the same source said.
