New Version of 'Charbaka' Allows In-Game Chatting
Samer Hamandi releases a new version of the Arabic word game Charbaka with the new in-game chatting feature, a press release said.
Charbaka is a multiplayer arabic word game. The aim is to find as much words as possible in a grid of letters before time ends. Each game has 3 rounds of 2 minutes each. Players play in turn each of the 3 rounds and the player having higher total score wins. Players can benefit from power ups such as stopping the clock, getting word hints or scramble the grid. Charbaka allows competing with friends or with random players in a fun, challenging and fast paced game play.
Charbaka is one of the few Arabic mobile games targeting all ages in a fun, educational and challenging way. The game connects Arabic speakers from around the world, either via facebook or via random opponent matching, to play together, the press release added.
Before its release, Charbaka participated in the Netherlands Game Award competition organized by AltCity and sponsored by the Dutch Embassy in Lebanon and won the people’s choice award.
This qualified it to participate in the 2014 Casual Connect gaming conference in Amsterdam, where Charbaka was the only Arabic language game in the conference among the 100 participating games from around the world.
The game is available for free for android and an IOS version is planned to be released at a later stage.
