“A police united raided a shop on Friday in airport road (in Dahiyeh) to arrest the wanted suspect, who opened fire at ISF members as several men tried to stop his arrest, prompting police officers to open warning shots in the air.”

The statement added that the unit apprehended the suspect and seized the weapon in his possession, pointing out that no one was wounded in the operation.

“Unknown assailants later opened fire at the police unit in an attempt to free the fugitive but failed.”

The communique said that ISF is carrying out the necessary measures to arrest those involved in the incident.
