Najjar: Solution to False Witnesses is to Allow Ordinary Judicial Authority to Deal with Issue
Justice Minister Ibrahim Najjar on Friday said the solution to false witnesses is to allow the ordinary Lebanese judicial authority to deal with the issue.
"Had the judicial power launch an investigation we would have achieved a major breakthrough by now," Najjar told the Voice of Lebanon radio station.
"It turned out that there are intentions to abolish the tribunal. There are political motives behind this move," he believed.
Najjar underscored the need for Arab and international powers to allow Lebanese to solve their disputes alone.
"It is important not to have external meddling in Lebanese affairs," Najjar stressed.
