PSP: Jumblat is Aware of Dangers on Internal Scene, Politicians Must Make Concessions
Progressive Socialist Party media official Rami Rayyes stated on Friday that party leader MP Walid Jumblat is “completely aware of the dangers on the internal scene” in Lebanon and that political forces have no choice but to return to dialogue.
He told the Central News Agency that the political forces in Lebanon must present some concessions towards resolving the country’s political crisis “in hope of reaching an agreement that appeases all sides regarding the false witnesses.”
He stressed that the Saudi-Syrian initiative seeks to resolve the situation in Lebanon “so we cannot depend on any other initiative at the moment.”
“We hope that the Saudi-Syrian efforts would be crowned with an agreement on the internal scene,” the media official said.
Furthermore, Rayyes clarified that Jumblat is not boycotting any Lebanese side.
“We have no problem in meeting any political side, and contact with the Future movement has not been severed,” he stressed.
