British Man Charged with Ukraine Terror Offenses
A 41-year-old man appeared in a British court on Wednesday charged with two terrorism offenses linked to the conflict in eastern Ukraine.
Benjamin Stimson, from Oldham in northwest England, was charged under anti-terror laws, according to a statement from police.
Stimson, of no fixed abode, appeared in court in London charged with "the intention of committing acts of terrorism and engaging in conduct in preparation for giving effect to his intention."
He was also charged with "the intention of committing acts of terrorism and assisting acts of terrorism."
Police confirmed that the charges related to the conflict in eastern Ukraine between government forces and pro-Russian militia.
