Gemayel Says Some Don't Want 'Annoying' Kataeb in Govt.
Kataeb Party leader MP Sami Gemayel announced Monday that “Kataeb's voice annoys all parties” in the country because it is “different.”
“Some parties have in one way or another said that Kataeb's presence in the Cabinet is not necessary,” Gemayel added during an interview with al-Mayadeen television.
Asked about Kataeb's participation in the new government, Gemayel said his party is not insisting on a certain ministerial portfolio because the Cabinet will only serve for six months.
“We do not have a problem in staying outside the government but like everyone else we have the right to be in a national unity cabinet,” Gemayel went on to say.
