Gaza Father, Daughter Hurt in Israeli Raid

A Palestinian father and his daughter were wounded as their home was hit in an Israeli air raid on Gaza City early on Sunday, medics said.

They said the two were wounded in the Zeitun area of Gaza City when a missile struck, apparently targeting a neighboring building.

The Israeli army said the target was a weapons building factory and that the raid followed repeated rocket attacks on Israel from the Gaza Strip.

Low-level unrest since the end of October, when violence left 12 Gazans and an Israeli civilian dead, came to an end on Thursday when an Israeli air strike killed two Gaza Palestinians who were allegedly planning attacks.

According to Israeli public radio, around 20 rockets have since crashed into the south of the country, without causing damage or injury.
