Maronite Patriarch Beshara al-Rahi stressed on Sunday that “unilateralism” has no place in Lebanon.
“Lebanon cannot be unilateral in color, religion, party, sect or political opinion,” al-Rahi emphasized during a mass in the Bekaa city of Zahle.
“It cannot be governed by a single coalition, party, religious community or religious denomination,” the patriarch underscored.
The country “cannot withstand the elimination or marginalization of any group,” al-Rahi added.
He also called for “preserving Lebanon's neutrality and dissociating it from regional and international conflicts.”
