Jumblat Says Coordination with Hizbullah Uninterrupted after Wahhab Incident

Coordination between the Progressive Socialist Party and Hizbullah was not interrupted after the Jahliyeh incident, PSP leader ex-MP Walid Jumblat announced on Monday.

“To comrades and supporters: as usual, there is a series of bizarre and seditious rumors. I clarify that coordination with Hizbullah as going on as usual, despite the divergence in the viewpoints on some issues,” Jumblat tweeted.

“As for what happened in Jahliyeh, I offer condolences over the martyr Mohammed Bou Diab, and we are all in the service of Mt. Lebanon’s security no matter what the differences might be,” the PSP leader added.

Bou Diab died of his wounds after gunfire erupted in Jahliyeh during an Internal Security Forces raid to arrest ex-minister Wiam Wahhab in connection with a libel lawsuit.
