France to Vote against Start of EU-U.S. Trade Talks
France will vote against the start of trade talks between the European Union and the United States, the French presidency said Thursday, despite EU members agreeing in principle to begin the discussions.
"France will probably be the only country to vote against" in a largely symbolic ballot on Monday, the presidency said, citing President Emmanuel Macron's insistence on the U.S. first signing back up to the Paris climate accord.
