French Actor Alain Delon Hospitalized in Paris
Veteran French actor Alain Delon was hospitalized in Paris on Wednesday, the 76-year-old assistant said, after reports claimed he was being treated for heart problems.
French website Pure People reported that Delon was admitted to the American hospital in Neuilly, on the edge of Paris, to be treated for an irregular heartbeat.
Contacted by Agence France Presse, Delon's assistant said he went in for a check-up, declining to comment on the report or to say whether he had been discharged.
"Alain Delon is in good health," she said. "Like any person who takes care of their health, he was in for a check-up."
The hospital declined to comment.
Born on November 8, 1935, Delon has starred in close to 100 films over the course of a five-decade career, becoming one of France's best known actors around the world.
