5.8-Magnitude Quake off Mauritius
A 5.8-magnitude earthquake struck Thursday in the Indian Ocean off the island of Mauritius, the U.S. Geological Service said.
The quake's epicentre was only 10 kilometers (six miles) deep, but was 387 kilometers from Port Mathurin on the island of Rodrigues, and 976 kilometers from the Mauritius capital Port Louis.
No tsunami warning was immediately issued.
