Aoun Says National Unity More Important than Presidency: Miqati Should Take Risks or Resign
Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun stated on Friday that Lebanon’s national unity is more important than the presidency.
He added before a youth delegation in Rabieh: “Prime Minister-designate Najib Miqati should take risks or resign.”
“There are several announced reasons for the delay in the government formation, but the real cause lies in waiting for certain regional developments,” he noted.
“Ties with Syria are good today, but we have not asked it to intervene in Lebanon,” he continued.
“Syria does not form our government and we don’t form its cabinet,” Aoun stressed.
