One Killed, 8 Wounded in Separate Traffic Accidents
One person was killed at dawn on Sunday in a traffic accident along Anaya-Jbeil road in the Zouk region.
The National News Agency identified the victim as Syrian national Siham Khalil Mirza, 36.
Her companion, Milad Najib Shawwah, was meanwhile injured in the accident that took place when their car collided with an electrical pole on the Anaya-Jbeil road.
Investigations are underway to determine the causes of the accident.
In a separate incident, seven people were wounded in a nine-car pile up in the Zouk region in Keserouan.
The accident took place near Our Lady of Salvation Church.
Imad Abou Khalil and Rabih Khawand have been identified as two of the Lebanese wounded, while Gulf nationals Ahmed and Yaacoub al-Kandari have been identified as two other wounded.
