Egyptian “Reachbox” has been selected as one of the semi-finalist teams for this year’s MIT Enterprise Forum Arab Start-Up Competition for the Startups' Track.
With over 3 years working in the e-marketing fields, one of the main challenges was to send out emails in HTML format to specific mailing lists. The most practical way was to use email marketing websites. But skimming through the various options, there is a lack of options at inconvenient prices. That’s why the team decided to create their own platform: reachbox.net.
The team members were chosen by the owner of the company they used to work for to work on the project.
Reachbox.net is an e-marketing platform that provides solutions for 3 main conveniences: Creating HTML emails in Arabic, sending out SMS messages for the same mailing lists and high costs by charging customers for what they use (emails sent and not contacts on mailing lists). Reachbox also provides easy campaign management, consolidated and detailed reporting for all marketing activities and social media channels integration. The main market for Reachbox is Arabic speaking countries as they hope to start in Egypt and expand to the MENA region through the Gulf an onwards. Reachbox will also provide support for users in Arabic.
On Joining the MIT Enterprise Forum Arab StartUp Competition and Advice to Entrepreneurs:
Reachbox entrepreneurs applied for the MIT Enterprise Forum Arab Startup Competition to give their product regional exposure but mainly to challenge its competitiveness to further develop it. The team’s advice to entrepreneurs is that “there is always a problem” and finding smart solutions for it is ‘entrepreneurship’. They also hope that their product can help their country, Egypt, in times of crisis by giving it international exposure.
