"تقدم" في حوار المستقبل-حزب الله … والرئاسة البند الابرز

Read this story in English W460

we do not want an Iranian president in Lebanon.

Thumb _mowaten_ 10:46 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 25

yes we know, anyone who is not saudi is iranian for you. you wouldnt be happy unless our president is born and raised in saudi and has saudi nationality, like hariri.

Thumb _mowaten_ 11:09 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 25

lol at you two clowns.

Thumb _mowaten_ 11:12 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 25

and Berri being born in Sierra Leone is irrelevant you houthi-obsessed simpleton. He was raised in Lebanon, went to school and university in Lebanon. He doesnt have the Sierra Leonese nationality, Sierra Leone is not a country trying to control Lebanon and there is no king in Sierra Leone that Berri is a vassal of.

Aoun sealed his integrity when he allied with Saddam Hussein decades ago. He keeps making the same stupid decisions, or rather, not so stupid but dictated from the outside. Aoun cannot be associated with integrity, simply, he has none. Aoun will spit into the well that gives him water to drink, and will bite the hand that feeds him, even though I am cold on the KSA, but who can blame them for feeling this way about this jester?

Thumb _mowaten_ 12:45 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 25

what about bashir allying with israel? that road goes both ways phoenix

Thumb -phoenix1 12:54 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 25

Mowaten, this old line is now all too tired and stale. My good friend, I must be honest if not rather abrasive with you, even if it may bring back the past albeit for a while. Mowaten, dear brother, dear friend, dear sibling, Bashir was never allied to Israel, Bashir had no choice but use Israel in a way smarter than Israel wanted. It was a time when every single Muslim wanted to throw the Christians into the sea, as if they were doing us a favor. Arafat was king and everyone was subservient to him, Shiites included. The world discounted us, as in the Kissinger plan, so what choices did we have but fight like the bravest and hold on. But ya Mowaten, you seem to have forgotten that when Bachir finally got to the presidency, that he proved that he was Lebanese and would never kiss any hand, unlike Sayed hassan or Michel Aoun and the many other leaders. Check the facts if you please and do forgive my brutal frankness. If today we had a quarter of Bachir, Lebanon would be paradise.

Thumb _mowaten_ 13:04 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 25

phoenix you keep accusing aoun or nasrallah of kissing hands, but how does that materialize? what did they ever do that didnt serve lebanon first? this is pure slander and anti-fpm/anti-ha propaganda. as i said above, they have allies, who can survive in this world without allies?

on the other hand the LF's alliance with israel was what one would call treason, since we were at war with israel. that alliance materialized with LF fighters being trained in haifa (years before the start of the war) weapons being given to them and even israeli uniforms.

we all have a tendency to idealize dead people, as time passes we remember the shiny parts and the darker parts fade into forgetness. i'm not asking you to change your mind about bashir and despite all i can understand your admiration, but at least have some fair standards when you judge others.

Thumb -phoenix1 12:11 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 25

I believe @Mystic that most Lebanese want a Lebanese president. Your militia party has made it clear that its only candidate is Michel Aoun, clearly a Syrian/Hezbollah lackey, so my dear friend, what are you alluding to? As to pulling out of Syria, I don't know ya man, it does not look good any way you may look at it, Syria is going from worse to worst, Hezbollah will pullout, but in the same and exact way the US pulled out of Vietnam. No matter what the regime will try, it is fighting against all odds, Syria will fragment into tiny statelets and Hezbollah will then have no choice but save its skin. Give it a few years, max.

Thumb _mowaten_ 12:51 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 25

you're saying you want everyone to steer clear from mud-slinging phoenix, but what are you doing when you call aoun a "Syrian/Hezbollah lackey"? that's the basic mud-slinging line that m14 came up with against him. having allies does not make you a lackey, and i'd rather be allied to secular syria and open/tolerant hezbollah, than be a under the tutelage of saudi medieval-minded oily kings.

Thumb _mowaten_ 12:53 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 25

what kind of rights have christians in saudi? how much do you think the people who crucify shiite clerics for speaking up against the saudi regime care about christians in lebanon? and what can be said of the self-proclaimed defender of christians who pretends the takfiri threat dosnt exist and continues to operate under saud hariri's boot?

Thumb -phoenix1 14:26 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 25

(2) Mowaten. Today if there was no LF, Sayed Hassan would have made Lebanon an extension of Iran and Aoun its Lebanon-Iranian so-called president for life. You my dear Mowaten you will attest that NO Muslim party in Lebanon ever carried the Lebanese Flag until you allied with the Christian. You will never ever defray me from my beliefs and until the last one of us, no one will succeed at changing the identity of Lebanon, no one. Just remember, no one is perfect, but what saves one's honor is being honest with the nation.

Thumb the_roar 14:46 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 25

Your kind is not worth replying to...keep making a complete fool of yourself.....sneaks disguised as neutrals are the most dangerous to their own people.... This rambler speaks with a poisoned fork tongue without one piece of factual content, all he does is smear as he slivers along the forum.....Imagine if he was not a neutral?

Thumb Mystic 15:30 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 25

Militia party phoenix? As i recall LF also are a militia. If we are going to talk about militias, you should look around, your own circle. As for the Resistance, they could've have easily taken Lebanon under it's control in 2008 and after, they choosed not to do so, because they want a multi-sect country where we can all prosper, all they do is keeping Israel and takfiris away, but you seem to be very fond of Israel, which i always knew. It is okay phoenix, you jumped out of the closet and shown us your true intentions for Lebanon, which is creating a greater Israel with Lebanon it's autonomous state.

Thumb Mystic 15:36 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 25

As for Syria, the resistance were about to get surrounded by Isis and Nusra, had they not intervened in Syria, then the IS flag would be flying over Baabda Palace. This is not a Vietnam, the vietnamnese people fought a just war against the French and USA imperialists, the resistance fights for the regions survival and all free people, otherwise this fake caliphate U.S fails to destroy, will consume Lebanon.

Thumb cash.puppet 17:45 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 25

Problem with phoenix's arguments are that he starts from the vantage point of Lebanon being a Christian nation, or at least his own idea of Lebanon is - as if that is the end all be all and if we dont accept this vision we are not Lebanese. Seriously dude, spare us the LF propaganda. I'll remind you that before the civil war Muslims were (and still are by many, especially LF members) as somehow less Lebanese or lower class citizens. This was reflected in the 6/5 parliamentary make-up as well as general society. The sooner you get over this silly racist entitlement the sooner you can begin to see that it doesnt matter what ancient idea of lebanon you have, a lot of people disagree with you and they are NO LESS Lebanese than you are. And yes, Bachir was an Israeli sell out.

Thumb cash.puppet 17:48 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 25

He allied with the root of the problem that brought the Palestinians to our shores - the Zionist entity. They are not our problem, but neither are they other Arab countries' problems. They are the direct result of the racist exclusivist state to the South, and to there they must return, you know, to their HOMES. They are also human beings, and although we need to be independent in order to build our own country, we cannot pretend like signing a deal with the devil is somehow acceptable.

Thumb _mowaten_ 18:17 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 25

"Today if there was no LF, Sayed Hassan would have made Lebanon an extension of Iran and Aoun its Lebanon-Iranian so-called president for life. "

what do you base your "ifs" on? pure assumptions? just what you want to think they "would" do if" this or that? focus on facts, on history. and no it's not the LF stopping anyone from anything, they're just a nuisance on the side.

Thumb _mowaten_ 18:18 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 25

the last thing the LF did that was of consequence was helping syria to invade lebanon to get rid of aoun.

Thumb _mowaten_ 18:21 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 25

the_roar please show some more respect. phoenix is one who always showed respect to all, we owe him at least the same courtesy and he has the right to his opinion whether we agree with him or not.

Thumb the_roar 18:54 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 25

Many thanks for the dressing down, Mowaten.

Now I know where we stand, never address me again...for this is the last time time I will not reply in kind to whatever you post my way.

Thumb _mowaten_ 19:18 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 25

dressing down?? come on roar, i was just saying please be nice, no need for such extreme reaction. peace mate :)

Thumb the_roar 19:37 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 25

Sweetening it by saying please stops it being a dressing down?

You almost sound like your mate Phoenix, stick the knife & say please & thanks.

You're no longer my mate nor will I respect you as one...move along & never address me again.....this topic ends here...please & thanks!

You guys are being too sentimental, don't act like the M14 minions.

That Phoenix has his opinions, is not that serious. Only now, I wont recognize him as the "neutral" commentator as I once did. No need to be angry, and no need to be shocked.

Thumb _mowaten_ 11:57 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 26

roar it was never a "dressing down", it was a friendly call for respect. it's rare enough in here to see people who have diverging views and yet still express them with respect, so i believe it is something we should uphold when we see it.
look at the other m14 specimens here, they are constantly insulting and disrespectful and cannot tolerate anyone who doesnt agree with them, and i consider you one who is better than that.
we will never all agree (not just in this forum but in lebanon in general) yet if we can at least communicate, and do so with a minimum of respect than there is hope. if not, we're bound to be eternally bickering and hating each other.

there was no ill-intention in my words, i have no desire or reason to dress you down, rather i hoped you would understand why this is important and i thought that you were able to take a little friendly remark.

Thumb _mowaten_ 11:59 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 26

anonyme i was talking to phoenix, not you. i dont care about your brainwashed views and empty propaganda lines.

Thumb -phoenix1 12:16 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 25

Mowaten, yesterday I urged everyone to keep matters qualitative instead of quantitative. The issue is not about the persons who post here, after all we are simply guests, one strike of the mods mouse will kick anyone off into a ban. You of all people ya Mowaten should keep it above the mud slinging, look at Southern, 99% he sticks to his views and avoids the personal issues. Trust me, everyone is capable of a dirty mouth everyone, yet the distinction comes when we can behave as adults who can debate in a civilized manner in spite of our divergences. Just a friendly nudge, that's all.

Thumb Mystic 13:57 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 25
