"انفراجات قريبة" في حوار عون-جعجع المدعوم من الفاتيكان

لا تزال الانظار مشدودة باتجاه اللقاء المرتقب بين الرابية ومعراب، حيث تتوقع مصادر صحافية حصول انفراجات في وقت قريب في الاتصالات الجارية بين الفريقين، خصوصاً في ظل التأييد الفاتيكاني لهذا التقارب.
فقد نقلت صحيفة "المستقبل"، الاربعاء، عن مصادر المتحاورين بين الرابية ومعراب، توقعها بحصول "انفراجات قريبة تتيح عودة الزخم إلى عجلات الحوار خلال الأيام المقبل".
ولفتت المصادر الى ان السفير البابوي في لبنان غابرييل كاتشيا كان قد نقل رفض الفاتيكان لـ"أي تعطيل على خط المفاوضات بين رئيس "التيار الوطني الحر" النائب ميشال عون ورئيس "حزب القوات اللبنانية" سمير جعجع بصرف النظر عمن يصل إلى موقع رئاسة الجمهورية".
وأضافت ان ذلك يأتي "من منطلق عدم وجوب تقييد الحوار بين الجانبين ببند الرئاسة الأولى، باعتبار أن حاضرة الفاتيكان تعتبر شخص الرئيس أمراً تفصيلياً في سياق تحتل فيه الأولوية الأساس مسألة التفاوض بين فريقين وازنين على الساحة المسيحية وإعلانهما نوايا إيجابية مشتركة".
الى ذلك، أفادت المصادر ان السفير البابوي يستند في موقفه "إلى استطلاعات رأي محلية تشير إلى أن 90% من المسيحيين يؤيدون التقارب الحاصل بين القوات والتيار بغية طيّ صفحة الخلافات الماضية بين الطرفين".
وبدأ أمين سرّ تكتل "التغيير والإصلاح" النائب ابراهيم كنعان ورئيس جهاز الإعلام والتواصل في "القوات" ملحم رياشي منذ مدة غير معلنة لقاءات رسمية بتوصية من رئيسي الحزبين، في ظل أزمة شغور في سدة الرئاسة الأولى منذ أيار الفائت.
والثلاثاء واثر اجتماع التكتل الدوري الاسبوعي، أعلن كنعان ان هناك إرادة لديه ولدى حزب "القوات اللبنانية" للوصول إلى "قواسم مشتركة" بينهما، من دون أن يخفي "الصعوبات والعقبات" التي تعترض هذا الحوار.
من جانبها، نقلت صحيفة "الجمهورية" عن أوساط ديبلوماسية فاتيكانية قولها ان "المسيحيين المشرقيين يشكّلون أولوية لدى دوائر عاصمة الكثلكة، خصوصاً في هذه المرحلة التي تشهَد محاولات لاقتلاعهم من جذورهم".
وأشارت الاوساط الى ان "الاتصالات مع عواصم القرار تجري على قدم وساق لتأمين الحماية اللازمة لما تبقى من مسيحيين، على أن يلي ذلك تأمين عودة سليمة وآمنة للمسيحيين الذين تم تهجيرهم".
وتابعت الاوساط انها تعول على الحوار بين التيار والقوات "ليس فقط لانتخاب رئيس جديد، بل لكي يشكلا معاً قوة دفع ودينامية جديدة داخل الوسط المسيحي، تؤسس لمرحلة مستقبلية عنوانُها تثبيت المسيحيين في الجغرافيا اللبنانية وضمن هيكل الدولة".
وأعربت اوساط "الجمهورية" عن امله في ان يسهم هذا الحوار بطي صفحة الماضي وان "يُعيد ثقة المسيحيين بأنفسِهم، ويوحّد نظرتهم حيال القضايا الوطنية، كما يوحّد جهودهم للحفاظ على النموذج اللبناني الذي يجسّد عنوان الشراكة المسيحية - الإسلامية في العالم".

I am frankly skeptical that this report quotes Pope Francis as referring to the Shia majority of Lebanon as "the scum of the earth who are not worth the cost of the 18,000 howitzer shells it would cost to remove them to a safe location." His comment about Article 24 of the Lebanese Constitution (which assigns half the seats in the Lebanese Parliament to Christians), which was that he worried that there were not enough Christians in Lebanon to fill those several dozen seats, sounded more authentic.

Both Geagea and Aoun should repair the massive damage they've caused the Lebanese, starting from the Christians of Lebanon. Between the two we have seen reverses after reverses. Although in this context I personally view Geagea being the better of the two, still, both men should cease forthwith to aspire to any hopes of becoming presidents as both do not have enough support from all the people. Both have a bad history, both participated heavily in the civil war so both should now just drop our of the presidential race. But before they fade away, let them repair the damage they caused and this by soldering the Christian again into a cohesive political force. When done let them both together with Bkerke agree on a consensual candidate. We have many decent men and women within our ranks, surely there is no difficulty here. Then the charade that brings in such clowns like Jumblat and others to share their rubbish needs to be stop right now.
