Interpol has just confirmed the identity of the terrorist involved in planting and carrying out the deadly terrorist attack that killed scores of civilians and tourists in the Thai capital early last month. Police were able to identify the suspect as Abbas Ali Jaafar, a Lebanese Shia national who entered Thailand on a tourist visa. Video footage recovered from the crime scene showed the suspect moments before the explosion chanting "labayka ya hussain", a slogan used by the Hezbollah religious zealots before they commit an act of terror.
Lebanese security officials could not be reached for comments.
Hezbollah is a known terrorist organizations with links to organized crime, money laundering, political assassinations, and drug trafficking. The leader of the group has publicly ordered his fanatical followers to use, trade and export drugs to finance terrorist activities in many parts of the world.
