"المستقبل": التضحية الكبيرة لحزب الله هي قبوله بالدستور فهو غير معتاد على ذلك!

Read this story in English W460

hahahaha! Mostaqbal talking about the constitution. What constitution? There is only one constitution and that is the one of the resistance and iran.

Default-user-icon flamethrower (ضيف) 14:23 ,2016 تشرين الأول 25

that is complete nonsense. We the Shias are law abiding citizens, we respect the constitution and our history speaks for itself. We might respect the constitution of Iran more than the Lebanese constitution but that is not here or there. The bottom line is we respect both constitutions.

Article 64 of the constitution specifically talks about electing Michel Aoun for president. I wonder why Mustaqbal had to wait 2 1/2 years to read it and comply. I don't buy this rhetoric

Where does the constitution say that saad hariri has to inherit his father's throne ad vitam? Maybe those "sources" are confused between the Lebanese constitution and that of their home country KSA.

@mowaten
What can one say, another E-X-C-E-L-L-E-N-T comment. I particularly enjoyed the part where you said "Where does the constitution say that saad hariri has to inherit his father's throne "

Thank you for making this forum lively and vibrant.

Still laughing since January 2015.

Thank you

The constitution does not say that Hariri has to inherit his father's throne as much as it does not say that Berri has to be a permanent fixture as a House Speaker and affirmed once more by your filthy sectarian militia yesterday.

“We hold onto Berri as a main, sole and permanent candidate for the parliament speaker post,” Moussawi emphasized.

The constitution calls for consultations among the MPs and if Hariri wins then it is no sacrifice by your terrorist iranian leader.

It seems you cannot hide your sectarian hatred no matter how hard you try, troll.

Thumb .mowaten. 18:28 ,2016 تشرين الأول 25

for hariri to win, he needs other main parliamentarian groups to support him, and this is where hezbollah would be making a sacrifice.

Thumb .mowaten. 18:32 ,2016 تشرين الأول 25

let us not forget all that hariri has done in the name of saouds against hezbollah, not the least being when they tried to outlaw the resistance communication network and "all those who operated and used it = all hezbollah)

Thumb .mowaten. 18:33 ,2016 تشرين الأول 25

let him access once more the most powerful position in the country after that is quite a big deal, a sacrifice indeed.

Thumb marcus 18:43 ,2016 تشرين الأول 25

when did the iranian militia and its MPs ever nominate Hariri during the compulsory consultations or vote for him ? Go troll on Manar

Thumb .mowaten. 18:50 ,2016 تشرين الأول 25

are really you that dull-minded!? the subject here is that hezbollah could either oppose hariri's upcoming nomination (and very likely to be successful), or allow it (by either supporting it or just not opposing it). that would be the "sacrifice", which is, in case you missed it, is the topic here.

Hezbollah abiding by the Constitution..
Hezbollah MP Nawwaf al-Moussawi: “We hold onto Nabih Berri as a main, sole and permanent candidate for the parliament speaker post. .”

Thumb .mowaten. 18:29 ,2016 تشرين الأول 25

again, where does the constitution say a party can't chose the CANDIDATE they want?

Thumb Hayek.Feghali.Abdelatif 18:24 ,2016 تشرين الأول 25

Hezbollah always abiding by the Constitution.. .
Berri aides: "We will be outside power – among the ranks of the opposition..”
Hizbullah wants considerable share for Berri (who will be outside power – among the ranks of the opposition) in next government

Thumb .mowaten. 18:30 ,2016 تشرين الأول 25

and? what are you trying to say here?

Thumb chrisrushlau 18:27 ,2016 تشرين الأول 25

Since Article 24 of the Constitution expressly outlaws majority rule, we must assume the Lebanese public has never had a chance to vote on the Constitution itself. (So when the US spokespeople say "the Lebanese people" should select their president, that would be "destabilizing", right?) Same with the National Pact and Taef Accord (on splitting the Parliament between Christians and Muslims): when Naharnet calls these "unwritten agreements", it's saying the people never got a chance to vote on them. If a Constitution is self-contradictory, it's not a constitution. Does Article 24 prohibit any effect political consultation within the nation as a whole? US law has this idea, in the Carolene case, about law having to provide a means of political consultation for those shut out of power. It's the process, not the trappings, that matters. Lebanon and the US today are two nations where the consultation is not taking place, with national weakness the result.
