أعلن جنرال اميركي لوكالة فرانس برس الخميس ان 800 الى 900 من مقاتلي تنظيم الدولة الاسلامية قتلوا منذ ان بدأت القوات العراقية بمساندة التحالف الدولي عملية استعادة الموصل في 17 تشرين الاول.
وقال الجنرال جوزف فوتيل رئيس القيادة الاميركية الوسطى في مقابلة مع فرانس برس من موقع غير محدد "فقط في العمليات التي جرت خلال فترة الاسبوع ونصف الاسبوع الماضية لاستعادة الموصل نقدر انهم قتلوا على الارجح 800 إلى 900 مقاتل من تنظيم الدولة الاسلامية".
