attack geagea or gemayel and you're attacking the maronites, attack berri or nasrallah and it's the shiaa, attack joumblat it's the druze, attack hariri or miqati or siniora and it's the sunna. attack aoun and the christian FPM and no one feels a sect is being put on trial, which demostrates the true laicity of FPM and the need for everybody in lebanon to adopt FPM's separation of religion and state.

I will admit; I agree with you about the separation of Church and State approach that the FPM has adopted. But the funny thing is, it is the same FPM that have taken the approach of a State within the State by providing cover for the stateless militia. Go figure. Hypocrisy.

FPM demagogically talks about secularity but in the facts they do the contrary! when aoun says he defends the right of the christians, i don t call that separation of state and church!
but the first to fiercely cling to a sectarian state are people like alrahi and all the clerics (muslims or christians) who benefit from this system and can better control their sheep and make money....

secularity will only come from a revolution of the minds of the people , but so far they are so brainwashed by religion that we can wait another hundred years!

you claim that aoun is a defensor of secularism and i just tell you that you are wrong and give you an example. does that mean that i praised geagea or hariri or whoever??? no...
and if you read above i criticized ALL the clerics of this country that maintain sectarism as a tool for their power (without it they lose a lot of privileges... read carefully my boy!)
but it seems that when someone disgrees with you then it necessarily means that he is blindly with the other side. or worse even a traitor to his country or a sionist!

nobody want true reforms because ALL the MPs are benefiting from the state of dereliction the country is in...
reforms would mean that they would lose money and businesses and money stealing...

Aoun loyalty is to Hezb + Syria + Iran. No one is talking about religion but about loyalty.

woaaaaah wait wait when did i accuse you of zionism or treachery? u need to cool down and if you have the curiosity, aoun has a whole list of reforms that are currently being blocked by M14 deputies (regarding transparency in public institutions, fair trade, absentee voting, wage restructuring, rebuilding industry and agriculture after hariri scrapped both in favor for a service-only economy, building strategic dams, relifting the public service sector: water, power, new energies, etc etc and last but not least, amending the taef agreement that crippled the christian president and made him a harmless pawn) but nobody reads and nobody wants to read. i'll refresh memories by adding that geagea and patriarch sfeir were fervent supporters of the taef while aoun forbade its signing but still it got signed. anyway. the 'example' you gave is pathetic. i dont care which side you are but it worries me if you're in neither (then where would you be?). i agree that berri is dragging FPM down.

it's saddening to see people bragging that 'they have no leader' and they seem so happy about it. it seems to highlight their individualism. it's a typical lebanese epidemic, to have no leader and worse, to flaunt the fact. if we find someone among us with the traits of a leader, we're prompt to undermine him so that he doesnt rise above and do great things with our help. as long as we're all 'equal' we're all fine, just dont let someone become a leader, god forbid, and start doing great things with our community, we wanna stay leaderless and proud of it. wallowing in a cesspool of stagnation but hey, we're free of leaders cause y'know they could turn out to be crazy tyrants!

Peace...stop talking about how Aoun changed from being pro US. In the 90"s, M14 Christians attacked Hariri more than any other leader and called him a Syrian puppet. After he was killed, he became their saint.

Aoun is mostly sectarian like most of M8 leaders (how many muslim members does he have?)
