باريس: ايران انتهكت الحظر المفروض عليها من خلال تزويدها سوريا بالسلاح
Read this story in English
Iranian weapons are rusted... they can sell them as scrap metal...
what about arm supplies to israel, when israel has been committing war crimes and crimes against humanity for the last half century?
oh sorry, i forgot, israel owns the US and the US owns the UN... what was i thinking?
Mowaten, get real! You are trying to compare the backward repressive Iranian and Syrian regimes to a modern day superpower. Israel is here to stay, and the US will prevail. The syrian regime will no doubt collapse sooner or later, and the iranians will follow in time to come. Hopefully, modern civilised regimes will take place in both Syria and Iran, in line to what exists in the old eastern european countries. I love lebanon and all lebanese people.
Mowaten, arm supplies to Syria are used to kill civilians, how nazi are you man?? or is it alright for sunis to be slaughtered in your dictionary and this is why you are okay with it. I bet you would not mind if the regime even uses chemical weapons to wipe out a million suni syrian. Your realy enemy mowaten is the suni and not the jew, why dont you be a man enough to say that.
adam, you are only serving israel by comments like that. not all sunnis are like the salafis or brotherhood.
I lived around the brotherhood guys once and they always viewed me as the christian infidel. Never said hi to me. Always gave me dirty looks when I was trying to say hi. I much rather have Assad then them. But most sunnis I know are not like those salafi bozos.
realist: "Mowaten, arm supplies to Syria are used to kill civilians" this is where we dont see things the same way. I believe the syrian gov has an armed insurrection on its hands, with armed groups who have been using the cover of protests to create chaos and are killing left an right to stir strife. From the very first days in Deraa, security personnel has been attacked and killed by organized forces. (7 policemen killed and official buildings torched in the first protests of Deraa > http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/143026#.TxVOkIHRiSp -giving you an israeli source to avoid the systematic denial of anything reported by pro-syrian sources).
Why would it be acceptable for the syrian rebels/terrorists to receive weapons from other countries, like the smuggling of weapons through the Lebanese border for instance, but unacceptable for the syrian gov to get shipped ammo?
oh and no, Sunis are not, definitely not, my enemy. I have a problem with intolerant fundamentalists, like salafis or orthodox Jews, yet my opinion is not only based on religion, I have Jewish friends who were not zionists, I look up to and respect people like Finklestein and Chomsky for instance, but i despise zionists whether Christian, Muslim or Jew
a paranoid blogger who is certain a "conspiracy" exists if more than "ONE" person votes his unduly narcissistic opinion down.
"I have a problem with intolerant fundamentalists, like salafis or orthodox Jews, yet my opinion is not only based on religion..."
and mowaten of iran wants us to believe the mullahs of Qom and his idol the murshid of hizb are tolerant and not fundamentalists. The more you open your mouth, the more filth comes out. All your comments on this board are pure sectarian, so no need to feel defensive about it.
"Why would it be acceptable for the shia farsi thugs/terrorists to receive weapons from other countries, like the smuggling of weapons through the syrian border for instance, but unacceptable for the any other party to get shipped ammo?"
I once knew an american racist who used to say" oh no, blacks are not, definitely not, my enemy. I am not prejudice, in fact my secretary is black"...... mowaten, you remind me of this person in many many ways. Your come back was not successful either......
alas: you're trying to sound smart by calling me "mowaten iran" when you know i'm Lebanese, but for your information, despite your arrogant tone of superiority, know that in iran there are tens of synagogues and a large Jewsih population who is perfectly respected in their way of life and beliefs. They are excempt from sharia, they can produce, buy, sell, and drink alcohol (just like all non-muslims btw, it applies to christians as well) and they have several Jewish members of parliament to represent them.
now compare to wahhabi-salami fundamentalists, and try to have a drink in riyadh. then come back if you're still alive to tell me about it.
lol "memories from long time" your intellectual level remind me of a teenager with acne spots i used to know, he always tried to pretend he was an "old-timer" to give himself some "weight" but people usually felt sorry for him
mowaten of iran: this applies to the Baluch? you are really more iranian than ayotallah.
I agree with mouwaten: who best to know the in and outs of iran more than a mowaten of iran disguised under a Lebanese flag. Shame on you!!! Don't you wish your mouth had a 'backspace' key...and you wish your life had an 'undo' function too... !
if iran is such a wonderful place why don't you go and live there mowaten of iran, and while you are at it, have a drink too! your "reality" check has bounced dear.. you and your farsi types are heretics.
A wise-man once said: Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience!
hahahah pathetic responses, yes if being informed and not brainwashed makes me an iranian then suit yourself.
now enough wasting my time with someone who posts under random names to "agree" with himself, this is too "silly" for me. facts were said and whether you like them or not, iran could teach you a lot about tolerance.
"jews...have several Jewish members of parliament to represent them..."
No, they have 1 seat.
Correct thepatriot, your attention to detail honors you. since this is the only point you raised i assume you agree with the rest?
just noting as well, that if jews are 25000 in Iran, out of 75 million total population, it means they represent 0.03% of the population, yet they are guaranteed a seat. i think we can agree this goes with saying they are respected.
plus i quote wikipedia:
"The Constitution of Iran says that Jews are equal to Muslims. Imam Khomeini visited with members of the Jewish community and issued a decree ordering the adherents of Judaism and other revealed religions to be protected. Jews are entitled to self-administration and one member of the 290-seat Majlis is elected by only Jews. Jewish burial rites and divorce laws are accepted by Islamic courts. Tehran has over 20 synagogues."
so to get back to what i was initially saying, i'm against intolerant fundamentalists, and this is not in contradiction with considering Iran a friendly state, because they are not intolerant, they dont cut heads of people who drink or think differently and dont burn "witches" on sticks...
can you speak about the Baloch, professor mowaten of iran? U quietly avoided the topic? Are they respected? Do they have their own mosques? are they being tortured and killed? are they 10th class citizens to the shia? please, enlighten us about your tolerance and that of your spiritual leaders, huh?
yeah, and the constitution of lebanon says ONLY the legal lebanese armed forces carry weapons????
"acts were said and whether you like them or not, iran could teach you a lot about tolerance."
there were over 220 executions in Iran this year alone:)))))))))))))) what a loser this mowaten is.....seriously!
@patriot:"Correct thepatriot, your attention to detail honors you"..... you have been "knighted" by the great mowaten of iran!!!!!! shall we call you now "ayatollah" thepatriot? LOL
.... yeah, let's get back to what mowaten was saying........
Baloch: if you have a point you want to make, you tell me about it, give me some sources to check out, and tell me how it relates to what i said. you don't just throw a word and expect me to assume what your point is, make a research and present it to you.
tolerance: what is your point? there are capital punishments in China, Saudi, Lebanon and and and... your beloved USA as well. chou jeb toz 3a mar7aba?
plus, unlike in the USA they don't execute people of color because they are colored, quoting wikipedia:
Around 180 people were executed in Iran in 2010. The overwhelming majority were drug traffickers, and virtually all executions are carried out for murder, aggravated rape, large scale drug trafficking, treason, and armed robbery (cases usually resulting in rape or death).
Maybe you feel sorry for traitors, rapists and drug traffickers, but i dont.
mowaten: the topic of this article is to quote"France: Iran Violating Arms Embargo with Shipments to Syria", not " The wonderful land of Iran". You are truly overbearing individual.......uffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff
can you speak about the Baloch, professor mowaten of iran? U quietly avoided the topic? Are they respected? Do they have their own mosques? are they being tortured and killed? are they 10th class citizens to the shia?
was all of that a word to you? u got my point, and you know the answer already. How Iran treats these people defies all your heart felt testimony about your great Iran and its "tolerance". You are selling expired merchandise my dear mowaten, of iran.
Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
"Maybe you feel sorry for traitors, rapists and drug traffickers, but i dont.", but you seem to feel sorry for your hizb of thugs, coz that is exactly what they do!
Baloch: you still havent made a point nor given any source to back your claims. While looking for what you might be referring to, i instead found this:
Article 19 of the Iranian constitution adds: "All people of Iran, whatever the ethnic group or tribe to which they belong, enjoy equal rights; color, race, language, and the like, do not bestow any privilege."
however, in case you were talking about sectarian violence in balochistan, mind you, most of it is in Pakistan, and have a look at the stats here:
http://www.satp.org/satporgtp/countries/pakistan/Balochistan/data/sectarianviolencebalochistan2009.htm
"sorry 4 u": no i don't "feel sorry" for Hezbollah men, i am proud of them. i feel sorry however, for people like you who believe all the USraeli propaganda :)
Baloch: you may also want to see how evil iranians are, all in here:

mowaten: just a couple of questions -
1. do you have a job? - you seem to spend so much time on Naharnet - leaving tens of comments on each article. I can barely keep up reaqding your comments let alone post many. I work 8 hours a day, and spend some time at work reading your useless comments.
2. do you pay for your electricity?
lebexile: my my! talking about "useless" i must admit your post right here today was the most useful i ever read. i do not see how my personal life is of any interest for anyone here, but for you to have a good night sleep and be ready for your 8-hour shift tomorrow i will answer your questions anyway.
1: yes.
2: yes.
@LebExile: mowaten is the paid spokesperson for hizb of terror. That is his job. They pay him to post all this convincing stuff. He omitted to tell you this. That is why his answers were brief!
Iran’s Zoroastrians, Jews, Mandeans, Christians, and Bahais are subordinated and indeed treated as a fifth column by the revolutionary Islamic Republic. No matter that most of these religious groups were established in Iran before Islam arrived there; none are accepted by Iran’s Shiite rulers as fully Iranian.
Pervasive discrimination, intimidation, and harassment have prompted non-Muslims to flee in disproportionately high numbers.
Catholic, Anglican, Protestant, and evangelical churches are not regarded as heritage communities and are afforded few rights. Christian worship must be in the Assyrian or Armenian languages, not in Farsi.
According to Iranian law, Bahai blood is considered mobah — that is, it can be spilled with impunity. Over two hundred Bahais have been executed since 1979. “An enemy of Islam” was written on some of their corpses.
very tolerant society iran has become under the ayatollahs indeed....
"Alleged restrictions and punishments lawful in the Islamic Republic which violate international human rights norms include: harsh penalties for crimes; punishment of "victimless crimes" such as fornication, homosexuality; execution of offenders under 18 years of age; restrictions on freedom of speech, and the press, including the imprisonment of journalists; unequal treatment according to religion and gender in the Islamic Republic's Constitution - especially attacks on members of the Bahá'í religion.
Reported abuses falling outside of the laws of the Islamic Republic that have been condemned include the execution of thousands of political prisoners in 1988, and the widespread use of torture to extract repudiations by prisoners of their cause and comrades on video for propaganda purposes. "
"Also condemned has been firebombings of newspaper offices and attacks on political protesters by "quasi-official organs of repression," particularly "Hezbollahi," and the murder of dozens of government opponents in the 1990s, allegedly by "rogue elements" of the government.
Under the administration of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Iran’s human rights record "has deteriorated markedly" according to the group Human Rights Watch,[4] and following the 2009 election protests there were reports of killing of demonstrators, the torture, rape and killing of detained protesters,[5][6] and the arrest and publicized mass trials of dozens of prominent opposition figures in which defendants "read confessions that bore every sign of being coerced."

You like wikipedia Mowaten don't ya?
"The Iranian penal code distinguishes two types of punishments: Hudud (fixed punishment) and the Qisas (retribution) or Diyya (Blood money or Talion Law). Punishments falling within the category of Hududs are applied to people committing offenses against the State, such as adultery, alcohol consumption, burglary or petty theft, rebellions against Islamic authority, apostasy and homosexual intercourse (considered contrary to the spirit of Islam).[43] Punishments include death by hanging, stoning[44] or decapitation, amputation or flagellation. Victims of private crimes, such as murder or rape, can exercise a right to retribution (Qisas) or decide to accept "blood money" (Diyyah or Talion Law)."
Sounds yummy...
Stop calling this terror state Islamic. It has absolutely nothing to do with Islam. Same with The filthy militia
mowaten no matter how right you are in your post in pointing out the barbarism of KSA and salafism/baha'is, your comments will be voted down and patriot's 'pro-western' idolatry will be rewarded with positive votes because it's a brainwash clique paid to shift the opinions of young gullible lebanese who dont know better. patriot abhors violence. violence has no place in his fluffy bubble of libtard M14'er. if a country (other than KSA and gulf countries of course) cuts someone's head in punishment, it's a barbaric country that needs to be nuked. it's a backward people who need 'freedom'. you can bet that patriot thinks that you dont need to slaughter a cow and cut it to bits so that he could have his burger, or that fish are really neat and breaded rectangles. he cant understand that violence is part of life.
peace, i wanna ask you, if you go to gulf countries and live there for like... 130 years, do they give you a nationality? the answer is nope. especially if you're non muslim.
morale of the story: iran accepts certain residents albeit not fully, but they become iranians nonetheless. start your 'reforms' with barbaric GCC countries first. and when you're done, go change iran.
