Is this the only reasonable and honest man we have left in Lebanese politics?! I am not a Druze, nor a member of his party, but am always happy to here this man speak. I hope the rest of Lebanon heeds his wisdom. His words are appropriate and more so are a blessing at this appropriate time.

You see walid, there can be no conflict between m8 and m14... the later are not armed...now if want to call the few partisans that have a kalash in their cupboard fighters, then sure...but only hezb has trained, equipped, organized fighters with logistics, telecom, sophisticated weapons etc...what will a few lightly armed partisans of the other side do? This is ridiculous; we saw what happened in 2008. Bottom line, avoiding strife is not an excuse, you need 2 sides to make the war, or 1 armed side to take over power through a coup, and this will happen sooner or later I'm afraid...

Having said this, there is no denying that you have taken the worst of insults and has been extremely patient- not because you are afraid of them but to spare the people of lebanon violence and destruction. You have been preaching nonviolence for a while and that is what the people of lebanon need the most. If anything, this is a sign of true leadership.
