أعلن الرئيس الإسرائيلي شيمون بيريز أن حزب الله يشكل خطرا على لبنان لان لا قدرة لديه عن الدفاع عنه.
ونقلت الإذاعة الإسرائيلية عن بيريز قوله الخميس "هذه المنظمة تشكل خطرا على لبنان اكثر ما هو على اسرائيل اذ ان اسرائيل قادرة على الدفاع عن نفسها".
وحول الوضع في سوريا رأى بيريس ان هناك "حاجة لتشكيل قوة عسكرية تابعة لجامعة الدول العربية لتقوم بمهمة وقف الاقتتال الدائر هناك ولضمان انتقال سلمي للسلطة".
وكان قد قال رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي الثلاثاء خلال لقائه سفراء الإتحاد الأوروبي "ان نقل اسلحة دمشق الكيميائية الى حزب الله او اية مليشيات اخرى سيجبر اسرائيل على التفكير في شن عمل عسكري".
ونقل مسؤول اسرائيلي حضر اللقاء عن نتانياهو قوله انه "في الوقت الحاضر فان الاسلحة (الكيميائية) هي تحت سيطرة الدولة. ولكن اذا تغير ذلك، فربما نتحرك".
وصرح المسؤول لوكالة فرانس برس ان نتانياهو قال ان "اسرائيل لا يمكن ان تسمح بوقوع هذه الاسلحة الكيميائية في ايدي متطرفين مثل حزب الله او القاعدة او اية جماعات اخرى مشابهة، وان اسرائيل تحتفظ بحقها في التحرك في مثل هذا الوضع".
وكان قد اكد الامين العام لحزب الله السيد حسن نصرالله مساء الخميس الفائت ان حزبه أرسل طائرة استطلاع فوق الاراضي الاسرائيلية، اجتازت "مئات الكيلومترات" وحلقت فوق "منشآت حساسة" قبل كشفها من جانب سلاح الجو الاسرائيلي.

From reading the comments here and in other reports on this site, I see that the dissention exists amongst Lenanese groups without any connection whatsoever with Israel. A good example of this is the long discussed(?) new voting system.
I know that there are a great number of Lebanese who would like nothing better than to live in peace and tranquillity with ALL its neighbours, but unfortunately I read so often of people whose sole aim in life, it seems from their writings, is to blame Israel for everything bad that is happening in your country.
As someone looking at it from the outside, I am surprised and quite often shocked at this attitude, which also causes conflict within the
