WikiLeaks: Jumblat Said Mirza is Weak, Doesn’t Deserve his Position

Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblat described in a leaked U.S. Embassy cable General Prosecutor Saeed Mirza as weak, adding that he doesn’t deserve his position.

The WikiLeaks cable dated March 22, 2008, spoke of the MP’s fear of a Hizbullah and Syria-led campaign to release the four generals who were imprisoned for allegedly being involved in the assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.

“The release of all or any one of the generals will harm the Special Tribunal for Lebanon’s credibility,” he added.

“The Lebanese judges don’t have the courage to wage a confrontation,” he stressed.

Jumblat also voiced his concern that the STL is not working at a fast enough pace.

Mr. Jumblat: you have zero credibility.

MiRza is weak. May be so Walid bayk.
But you do not deserve the title of bayk anymore.
You have been treated like rubbish by the Syrians and Hassouna.
So you better hut up.

He is affraid also for his own crimes in massacaring Lebanese in the mountains,
so he opposed justice and international court as well like Hezbollah as a player of rejecting better life for Lebanese and reform, based on their own political crimes corruption and conspiracy against the small nation of Lebanon.

"Lacks the courage"....what courage are you talking about when you turned on your own people and joined the criminals, thugs and lunatics because you were frightened they would attack you. Courage is something you know nothing about. You have always been a coward and opportunist. You can be bought and sold dear walid so you should not be the one preaching courage.

what is funny with wikileaks is that sometimes politicians say it s a bunch of crap when it is against them, and sometimes they want to use it in justice saying it s a proof when it s in their favor!

peace.. in wikileaks u have what people say, it can be crap, used to reach questionable objectives or in good faith...

And you have what the US ambassador thinks sometimes in remarks.

What is interesting is to analyse thoroughly and see what u can get out of it as info; be it to judge someone, change opinion or look for a hidden agenda (I love that one) and yes, to see who has balls and who has not and who is more dishonest than what u though or very clever and reads well into the future.

Concerning this wikileak, what is interesting is not to judge Jumblatt ability to flip-flop (we all know about that) but that when he was in m14 camp, he was using US influence to try to influence the "independent" work of the STL.

He also criticize a Lebanese judge in-front of a foreign power representative, this doesn't show a person who fights for sovereignty (Siyade).

He also stated that the 4 generals out of prison will harm STL credibility.. no kidding !!

Knowing Waliid, I'm sure he also cabled someone else that same day and said 'Mirza is strong and deserves his position.'

peace.. I read the wikileaks in details and few of the conclusions are astonishing:

Jumblatt is very clever, when everyone in 2006 (jerks lin CPL like Khazen & Kannan who started shifting) though at the beg of the war that it was a done deal for Israel to crash HA, he was cautious and told the US that IDF should be willing to lose many man and attack with boots to hope winning... he saw it coming, two days after the beg. of the war... I was impressed

It appears that Geagea has more integrity than I though and he is second to Jumblatt in seeing the future... though not as good but clever

Murr is a complete failure, racist, clown jerk.. name it

Bassil impressed me with his stand with HA no matter what, like Aoun whom stood with the HA and made it very clear to the US ambassador... I wouldn't have made a one dollar bet that he will stay and defend his position like that (I don't think that he is clever enough to have imagined that the HA would b still standing @ the end of war).......

Missing mabboud 13 July 2011, 20:17

lousy Amal where either playing good cop bad cop for the HA or are less patriot than Aoun himself... I don't know if it was a political game during the war to make Berri a credible middle-man or just opening a door... hard to make a call on that one

Saniora... is the one that seems to be the best well trained politician, I don't like him but in the wikileaks, he is the closest as knowing that the US embassy personal is not a psy or a confident and was very clever in what he said... one thing is the direct contact with the KSA secret ops, he took a call in-front of the US man... so much for "Siyade w houriye"

Marwan Hamade.... he didn't deceive me, worse than what I imagined with an intelligence closer to Murr than Jumblatt

Hariri.... as dumb as it could get (and this is has nothing to do with my political opinion, u can judge by yourself: http://www.al-akhbar.com/node/6640 )

Missing mabboud 13 July 2011, 20:21

and of course, the very informative wiki of Feltman about Hariri, I suggest u give it a read, it is very interesting, especially concerning Trablos:

"We have noticed that Hariri becomes impatient in particular when two general subjects are raised: first, other prominent Sunni figures in Lebanon, and, second, Christian perceptions of excessive Sunni/Hariri power and ambitions. When we suggest, for example, that he have more high-profile consultations with Tripoli MPs like Mohammed Safadi or Mosbah al-Ahdab (two Sunnis who are allied with, but not formally part of, Hariri's Future Movement), he is dismissive. "I am the Sunni leader of Tripoli," he once told
us (although whether out of misguided conviction or out of bluster we do not know) when we suggested that his neglect of Tripoli's Sunnis might allow pro-Syrians to fill the vacuum -- as seems now to be happening."

mabboud what about chicken shit fatso in the hole? No comment about your god?

Missing mabboud 13 July 2011, 20:52

Shab... he isn't my God first, u jump to stupid conclusions like Saad (that u like)

second it was based on wikileaks and HA has no contact with US personel and as such, we can't drive conclusions on a subject with no elements to do so whatsoever... of course u, Shab, can but me, I don't jump to stupid conclusions based on no facts on only what I think or worse, just want it to be.

This shows how shortsighted u r and don't serve m14 in their endeavor to fight for democracy and justice

As I told u already, take some time to read and think, u will avoid embarrassing yourself!!

And do us all a favor, grow-up... your mind

Why would any care what this clown says anymore. He literally looks like Bozo the Clown, look it up!

Thumb shab 13 July 2011, 23:31

mabboud, wrong, I don't care for any of the current Lebanese leaders, and even less those whom have Lebanese blood on their hands like fatso in the hole. Lebanon only.

Missing mabboud 13 July 2011, 23:58

Thanks Shab for not insulting me this time. Take care.
