Report: Salam to Hold Talks with Hariri in Paris

Prime Minister-designate Tammam Salam is expected to visit the French capital, Paris, where he will hold talks with ex-Prime Minister Saad Hariri.

According to An Nahar newspaper published on Monday, Salam is expected to tackle with Hariri the cabinet formation process.

Salam is currently in Geneva on a several-day private visit.

The report comes amid rumors that Salam intends to give up his task to form a new government.

Salam has been facing since April conditions and counter conditions set by the rival March 8 and March 14 alliances.

An Nahar also reported that head of al-Mustaqbal parliamentary bloc ex-PM Fouad Saniora arrived in Paris on Sunday for talks with Hariri.
