Suleiman Contacts Rouhani, Abadi: Terrorists behind Bir Hassan Blasts Must Be Brought to Justice

President Michel Suleiman contacted on Tuesday Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Ambassador Ghazanfar Rokn Abadi to condemn the blasts that targeted the Bir Hassan neighborhood in Beirut on Tuesday.

He said: “The terrorists must be uncovered, arrested, and brought to justice.”

“These criminal messages will not alter our principles and convictions,” he declared.

“Terrorists will not turn back time and restore a dark chapter in Lebanon's history,” added Suleiman.

At least 23 people were killed and 150 wounded in the blasts in the Hizbullah stronghold of Bir Hassan.

The powerful explosions just opposite the multi-storey embassy caused chaos, ripping the facades off nearby buildings and setting cars ablaze.

They come after two other bomb attacks this year in the southern suburbs of Beirut that are the bastion of Hizbullah.

The group, which is sponsored by Iran, has drawn controversy for sending thousands of fighters to support the regime of Syria's President Bashar Assad as he battles a 32-month-old uprising.

Same old talk from Suleiman. He won't be gone soon enough. His M14 act is wearing thin and his neglect of Lebanon for political purposes abhorrent.

iran and hizbushaitan are bringing desolation and destruction to shias in the region.
they are bringing them hatred and constant fear.
iran and hizushaitan are terrorists being attacked now by other terrorists, and shia across the region will pay the price of the foolish policies of these two.

The only case that had any substantial developments coming out of a Lebanese bombing is the Tripoli bombing of this year.

And no, there is no first or second class victim. There's just an incompetent judiciary and police force. If you want to go back to 2005, why did no one resign owing to their failure to stop these bombings?

And why do you obsess over our failure to bring anyone who killed a politician to justice? What about those who killed regular civilians? Should they stay free? Do you not remember the 12 or so bombings against CIVILIAN targets in 2005-2006. What about the 2 Dahyeh bombs against civilians earlier this year, or the Tripoli bombings against civilians?

I honestly hope we go back to the series of targeted assassinations rather than our current despicable state where you and I are always targets. The politicians are the ones who screwed up, they can deal with the consequences. As for me, what do I have to do with this?

Hizbollah terrorists were operating way before Al Qaeda name had even been coined ! Their paymasters can proubly claim they are the genetic fathers of terrorism, ever since they sent their youngsters blow themselves up under Saddam's tanks, and went on to send kamikaze terrorists who blew themselves up thirty years ago to the day against french and american troops in Beirut in1983, and on and on…..to Hariri sponsored assassination (1000 Kgs of explosives!) and many others after him, to lending a strong hand in the mass killing and gassing of innocents in Damascus and elsewhere. Let them rot in hell !

Dear President: Bring to justice and punish all those who have been behind the serial killing of the best breed of lebanese politicians, are still running loose, while their masters are in power and control the country at gunpoint!
