Al-Mustaqbal bloc demanded on Tuesday referring the bombings in the Beirut neighborhood of Bir Hassan to the Justice Council and identifying and trying the assailants behind it.

"We condemn and reject this horrifying crime,” the bloc said in a released statement after the MPs' weekly meeting at the Center House, slamming those behind it as “terrorists.”

The statement added: “The perpetrator must be identified, arrested and tried and we call for referring this case to the Justice Council.”

The MPs warned that terrorism is threatening Lebanon and its citizens.

"We must cooperate to face this and eliminate its reasons instead of expanding terrorism,” they stated.

They continued: “Lebanon, due to its delicate and complicated nature cannot bear the consequences of the regions' conflicts on its soil and it cannot be a passage or a destination for risk takers' plans.”

A twin blast that took place on Tuesday morning when two suicide bombers struck near the Iranian Embassy in the neighborhood of Bir Hassan in Beirut's southern suburbs, killing at least 23 people and injuring more than 145.

A security official said the first suicide attacker was on a motorcycle that carried two kilograms of explosives. He blew himself up at the large black main gate of the Iranian mission, damaging the three-story facility.

Less than two minutes later, a second suicide attacker driving a car rigged with 50 kilograms of explosives struck about 10 meters away, the official said.

Al-Mustaqbal criticized Hizbullah officials' recent political speeches, considering that Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah “has revealed the party's motives, links, and its elimination techniques that violate the constitution and contradict with religious coexistence.”

“Nasrallah's announcement that he'll continue to fight in Syria without needing to consult other Lebanese factions uncovered the dangerous and the deep problem Lebanon is suffering from.”

The statement elaborated: “A militia that has regional ties is using Lebanon to launch wars in the region without getting Lebanese consensus. At the same time, it is imposing impossible political conditions that are blocking the work in Lebanon and its institutions, and contributing to the deterioration of the country's security and its economical situation.”

“Nasrallah's speech produces more problems in the country that affect partnership and threatens the future of religious coexistence.”

The bloc, again, called on Hizbullah to withdraw its fighters from the Syrian war.

Tackling the increasing influx of Syrian refugees into the country, the lawmakers criticized the cabinet's “neglect” towards this issue, urging reaching out to the United Nations' organizations for more assistance to face the “humanitarian and economic problem.”

“Lebanon cannot confront the challenges produced by the waves of incoming refugees and both Arabs and the international community must perform their duties in this case,” they said.

They also condemned Syrian attacks on Lebanese regions, demanding the cabinet to issue complaints with the Arab League and the U.N. Security Council.

The MPs also discussed the current situation in the northern city of Tripoli, calling for seriously implementing the security plan in all regions in the North, and for preventing any presence of armed men.

"Securing stability is a first step towards dealing with economic and daily issues facing the people of the city,” they said.

The al-Mustaqbal statement demanded as well referring the mosques bombings to the Justice Council, “especially because the perpetrators are known.”

"We condemn the campaign against the Internal Security Forces Intelligence Bureau and we praise its role and efforts in uncovering terrorist plans mapped out by the Syrian regime and its accomplices in Lebanon, in addition to uncovering several cells spying for Israel.”

Wow,,, the hypocrisy of these two faced representatives... Your condemnation is false, hollow and insulting. The thugs that you represent in Tripoli, bab-tebeneh were firing fire crackers and handing out baclava in celebration over the success of the bombings.
