The Palestinian leadership and the family of suicide bomber Adnan Mohammed, who targeted the Iranian embassy in Beirut earlier this week, disavowed him on Sunday after a similar move by the relatives of the other bomber.

The leadership reiterated its condemnation of the attack and stood by Lebanon and its leaders in “confronting criminal groups that have no religious or patriotic belongings.”

“The cowardly act is a private action … and serves only the enemies of our cause,” it said in a statement.

Mohammed's family also “condemned with the strongest terms this criminal act,” which it said served Israel.

The family extended condolences to the relatives of those killed in “the cowardly act.”

It also condoled the Islamic Republic over the death of Ibrahim Ansari, a 54-year-old Iranian diplomat, in the bombing.

“This personal act has nothing to do with the family and its patriotic history in addition to its martyrs in resisting the Zionist enemy,” said the statement.

Mohammed's relatives also thanked the security and social leaderships of the town of Baysariyeh and mainly the municipal chief for “expressing their understanding to this private act which is far away from our values.”

“Our choice was and will always be the resistance,” they said.

On Friday, the family of Moein Abu Dahr, the Lebanese bomber, “strongly” condemned in a released statement the deadly explosions.

"We are deeply saddened that one of our relatives is accused of being behind the Bir Hassan explosions,” the statement posted on several Sidon-based websites said.

“We condemn this awful crime and we do not have enough words to describe it, offering our condolences to the families of the victims,” the statement added.

Lebanese investigators have identified the two suspects in the bombings of the Iranian Embassy in Beirut's southern suburbs through DNA testing.

Why HA didn't disavow the four of its members who killed Rafic Hariri? Is it because they think they are above all, and perhaps even above Gid?

Thumb benzona 24 November 2013, 14:20

and of course,, rafic hariri's wrist wasn't broken by Bachar himself?

yet french secret services had given rafic a spy pen that recorded it?

people should get used to it, hezbollah answers to Bachar, and these four -now five- given names are the executants.

if they are innocent, the best lawyers in the world at the hague will free them, they are also free to bring their own.

FT. I am curious. Who in your opinion killed Hariri?

@Naharnet.... what for you deleted my comment!!!! This is not professional. I see, we have one of them moderators on duty today. Disgusting......!

FT. I agree with the possibility that it is possible that it is not HA who killed Hariri.

Most probably I suspect Syria. Because Hariri was becoming too independant. This is my choice nbr 1.

Very unlikely Israel... (choice nbr 3)

But absolutely not the US... True the US are unfaithful "allies" to Lebanon and are controlled by Israel, but I dont think they would lower themselves to kill Hariri...

However i find it interesting that you would list syria... U are more open minded than some people think u are...

Thumb lebanon_first 24 November 2013, 18:29

Ice man... I think FT has a point. Syrian intelligence and their proxies have caused great harm to lebanon and caused a great deal of bombs. We tend to put Syria and HA in the same box. But they are not the same.

Syria's agenda in lebanon is more insidious. Syria wants to control the country and create strife.

HA in all honesty doesnt really want strife. It just wants to control the country.

Mr _FlimFlamThrower_ is correct, Nasrallah has a handful of evidence proving that the “Israeli takfiri terrorist” carried out that terrorist assassination.

@ ice-man the resistance gets support from all sects in lebanon. you should look at M8 and see how diverse it is compared to M14.

Typical Saudi trick, uses unemployed Palestinian youth, probaly brainwashed to do their dirty work. Good to see their families are ashamed of them.

This guy is filth, that is why I don't support the M14 alliance blindly. You have to condemn this. At the same time, whether you admit it or not, we all know it was not Israel that took out Hariri. M8 knows they did it, but will not admit it, bc they know it goes against their "Israel" only talk track that is a farce.
