Raad Rejects Lebanese Subordination to Regional Powers: Suleiman Was Quick to Defend Saudi Arabia

إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربية W460

Head of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Mohammed Raad stressed on Tuesday that Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah has clear evidence that Saudi Arabia was behind the November 19 bombing near the Iranian embassy in Beirut.

He said after holding talks with former President Emile Lahoud that “President Michel Suleiman was quick in responding to Nasrallah” and defending Saudi Arabia.

Moreover, he rejected any Lebanese president's “subordination to any regional power.”

“The new president should respect Lebanon's national principles that prevent the country from being affiliated with regional countries,” Raad remarked.

Nasrallah accused last week Saudi Arabia of being behind the Iranian embassy twin bombings.

An al-Qaida-affiliated group, the Abduallah Azzam Brigades, claimed responsibility for the attack, saying it was aimed at pressuring Iran ally Hizbullah to withdraw its fighters from Syria.

Nasrallah said that Saudi intelligence backs the Brigades.

For his part, Suleiman indirectly rejected the Hizbullah chief's claim, saying: “Lebanon should not ruin its ties with Saudi Arabia through making baseless accusations against it.”

In Rami Olleik's book, I will never forget the paragraph describing Olleik's meeting with the Iranian Ambassador...
Oleik (Hezbollah at the time) asks: "What is the chain of command between you and us?"
Iranian Ambassador: "It is simple, we give orders, you execute them!"

... but Raad rejects subordination to regional powers...what a joke!

“The new president should respect Lebanon's national principles that prevent the country from being affiliated with regional countries,” Raad remarked.

Did anybody else find this statement to be absolutely hilarious? The pot calling the kettle black is what Lebanese politics is all about.

Do you guys recall a couple of days ago the article about the news reporter who was arrested and beaten up by HA. All the mouthpieces specially mowaten, flamethrower, and southern said southern suburbs did not mean dahiyeh and there was no evidence linking HA to his abduction and torture. Well below is his personal testimony at the military court as posted in today's Nahhar:

ice-man, why do you keep mentioning my name? you are determined to defame my impeccable online character which is tantamount to character assassination and libel. I slam your comments as mere slander and request that you refrain from attacking me. Thank you!

Thumb _mowaten_ 10 December 2013, 17:15

eagledown: the article was about the guy being arrested and caught by unknown people in the southern suburb while he was investigating "weapons traffickers". nothing mentioned HA except you guys because your minds are too narrow to understand that among the hundreds of thousands of people living in the southern suburb there are more than one affiliations.

now what you quoted is a testimony, one man's opinion, and in no way a proof. what if the weapon traffickers pretended to be HA to scare him? i know you wont try to dig or think, because you like pointing your finger, but others will.

Thumb _mowaten_ 10 December 2013, 19:49

yes and so? there are always many possibilities, only idiots will take the one scenario they want to believe and affirm it's what happened when they have no evidence.

Thumb thepatriot 11 December 2013, 12:52

Akh ya momo... you always want proof...and proof, and proof... and when presented with proof, then you go:

a) This does not constitute reliable proof!
b) They photoshoped it!
c) His testimony does not count!
d) The source is not reliable!
e) Prove me that the proof is valid!

akh... if hezbozos were to commit a crime in front of your eyes you'd choose to close them...

so far, all the comments made by raad did not make any sense and most were disavowed by hizbushaitan themselves :)
hizbushaitan is the terrorist extremist Iranian militia in Lebanon and as such executes the orders of their Iranian turbaned masters. so if someone is following their regional master it is them.
he said that after talks with emile lahoud :) what a joke. was it by the swimming pool?
if they have any evidence, let them show it and stop all this BS.

Thumb FlameCatcher 10 December 2013, 17:17

Raad Rejects subordination to Lebanese state and laws... not just foreign powers. Obviously Raad doesn't consider his subordination to Iran to be foreign at all.

He's so full of crap. @mowaten, @southern & @FT actually love HA flavor of bull.

And to defend Suleiman :

HA was quicker to accuse Saudi Arabia (or was it Israel or whatever) than Suleiman defending them.

Suleimen believes in due process of the justice system before launching baseless accusations like Hezbollah does.

Hezbollah again shows it's rhetoric, arguments, excuses are based on a foundation of lies and deception which will crumble like a house of cards should anyone simply ask the most basic questions.

Hezbollah's agenda is the annihilation and domination of the state of Lebanon in disregard of any other sects including you Aounies who defend such criminals and terrorists relentlessly !

Thumb FlameCatcher 10 December 2013, 17:20

"Hassan Nasrallah has clear evidence that Saudi Arabia was behind the November 19 bombing near the Iranian embassy in Beirut."

Yes, please pass this along with the clear evidence you have implicating Israel... we're till waiting for this.

If the evidence exists then simply show it ! Otherwise your just the damn liars you always were.

HA credibility = 0 so far... except for a couple of sheep over here.

Thumb FlameCatcher 10 December 2013, 17:22

Yes and Iranian "intelligence" / Revolutionary guards back Hezbollah.

In fact, the entire funding of Hezbollah is Iranian...

Thumb lebanon_first 10 December 2013, 19:02

Texas. Thanks. This is indeed what i meant.

Roar. The president cant do anything because he was stripped of his powers in Taef. Christians have been diminished to second class citizens. And should refuse this status. We cannot just spectators in the fight between saudi saad and iranian hassan.

The only true patriots today that dont have a foreign agenda are christians- wether 8 or 14 march.. They should re get the powers of the presidency. If they cant have it, the answer is partition. Let riyadh and teheran solve their problems in arsal, tripoli, dahieh and brital.

Those moslems who want to live in a modern state whose vocation is not resistance, liberating damascus from assad or jerusalem from zion are more than welcome to join their lands to the free lebanon going from jezzine to bcharreh. Let the rest join the medieval "resisting" state their representatives want for them.

Believe all you want if it makes you happy...

They are winning alright ..., war in syria, bodybags of HA commanders, "martyrs", stability in Lebanon... excellent WIN !

Just like they are winning in the political sphere with excellent achievements after 2 years in power. The country is doing great. Great WIN!

With their own people getting bombed not once but twice ... another huge win.

We don't have the same understanding as "winning". It's more like WHINING than winning.

Winners don't boast, shout, threaten, accuse cheaply. Winners don't go to war, otherwise they are not winners (yet).

So to M8ers ... if you consider yourself "Winners" ... then please, by all means, enjoy your victory and celebrate. Party on ... what are you still fighting for?

Hezbollah is not into democracy or theocracy, but hypocrisy. Raad is as guilty if not more so of the charges he lays at the feet of Sleiman. This rhetoric does not move the country forward, its just both sides dragging the other back into the mud while the rest of the world continues to march forward into the future.

Missing peace 10 December 2013, 19:04

it is clear that hezbollah do not hold suleiman as their president. they just pit on him:
first by not obeying the baabda declaration which however they agreed: hypocrisy like you say!
then criticizing him on the lebanese allies when we know who they obey to: hypocrisy!
third declaring that after visiting syria's most faithful lackey, lahoud, hypocrisy...

hezbi embody hypocrisy....

And, Raad should be more careful in his arguments. The STL will commence the Rafiq Hariri murder trial on January 16, 2014 where these connections could come into play.

Raad, citing Nasrallah says that Saudi Arabia is responsible for the bombing of the Iranian embassy in Beirut because the Abdullah Azzam Brigades, which fights in Syria and which has claimed responsibility for the bombing has the backing of Saudi Intelligence services. So, because Saudi Intelligence allegedly backs the AAB in Syria, therefore, Saudi Arabia caused the bombing in Beirut through the agency of the AAB.
Turn that to the Hariri Assassination. Applying this logic, the conviction of Hezbollah for the murder is pretty much assured.

cccccThe resistance is a right and the Taef Accord consolidated this right,” he stressed.

"Berri advised Hizbullah's critics to read the agreement well “because it clearly states Lebanon's right to liberate its land from Israeli occupation with all available means

"Hizbullah members are openly fighting in Syria to help the forces loyal to President Bashar Assad crush the rebels, who are Sunni."

This was in the same statement... Whats your "stance" on this?
