Makari Says Lebanese Will Discover Miqati’s ‘Double Standards’

Deputy Speaker Farid Makari said that the Lebanese will find out the “double standard speeches” and “deception” that PM Najib Miqati adopted, stressing that the coup that happened will automatically fall when the uprising in Syria succeeds.

In an interview with the Kuwaiti newspaper al-Rai to be published on Sunday, Makari stressed that “the contradictory principles between PM Miqati and his cabinet members will create several confrontations among the new majority especially with Hizbullah and Michel Aoun’s team.”

He was quoted as saying that “the March 14 forces announced that they will not surrender to the toppling of Saad Hariri’s cabinet. They chose the institutions to carry out their aim including all the democratic means allowed by law.”

Concerning PSP leader MP Walid Jumblat’s remarks that he supports the “justice of destiny” in ex-Premier Rafik Hariri’s assassination case, Makari said that “his statements express his real convictions regarding what happened in the past and what he wishes to happen in the future.

The deputy speaker noted that “Hizbullah is buying Miqati time concerning the STL issue.”

Asked about the possibility that this cabinet might last until the 2013 parliamentary elections, Makari said that “the new majority has set its aim on this issue… However, it will not be able to last until then.”

Regarding the issue of false witnesses that Miqati re-opened during an interview with CNN, the newspaper quoted him as saying that “if the premier or the other parties in power think that this kind of bargain is going to work, then they are wrong and deluded.”

“Using this issue (false witnesses) in election campaigns is possible. It’s well known that this issue is useless, and the opposition-back then created it,” the deputy speaker said.

Makari accused President Michel Suleiman of taking and implementing decisions against the March 14-led opposition without obliging the March 8 forces with them.

Answering a question about the national dialogue table, he said that “we are not ready to participate in the dialogue without being convinced that the conferees will come up with practical results.”

The Lebanese know by now who has double standard speeches ! Mr Makari should not worry about the majority , they are here to stay not only till 2013 , but for at least 50 years now that the third Republic has started , and will be declared officially very soon , after the Audit and the result of the finacial reports that are been made now , for the last 20 years of the HARIRI era .

I have one question concerning Mr Makari if anyone can answer it ! Mr Makari has always had a very black thick Moustache , exactly like the one of Rafik Hariri ! why did he shave it after his death ......? Maybe he should look like Saad now to stay on the pay-roll !!

One can only hope that Hizbullah gets shut down by other nations. Southern Ontario Canada is being used by this terrorist organization to raise funds to attack Israel. See the news here: http://conscriptionblogitician.com

This from a man who has no standards whatsoever and belongs to a group of thieves, corruptors and collaborators, which are ideal standards in his eyes. A country that respects itself would have its citizens stone such a prostitute of a politician to death.

Monsieur Phenicien, vous etes une crasse, je vous ordonne de vous nationaliser iranien pour le mieux de tout les libanais. Justice will prevail whether you accept or not you dirty puppet. You are going to hell, you'll meet your master Nasrallah there too..and you might be able to discuss the false witnesses issues down there as well as other issues such as why the killing of Rafic Hariri went so wrong for you ;)

@ Banana Republic ,

Have some respect for others , if you want respect yourself .

BTW , and in case you are not aware of , WE are in power , and YOu and Saad are OUT and away from Lebanon for good . So WE decide who stays in Lebanon and who has to leave not YOU any more .

@ Le Phenicien

Speak what you will about Saad el Hariri and Saudi Arabia, they sure both have their own problems and I will never completely agree to what they say in Lebanese politics that is. I am not a supporter of Saudi Arabia's regime, but it is non of my business what happens there as it is not my country.

It is sad that we still have people like you in Lebanon, one day or another you might wake up. You really think it is about who is in power, as if we are playing a little monopoly game? You know very well that if it wasn't for your arms arsenal you would be on your knees doing other things.

Please don't ever use Phenicien again, you are not worth the relation with such a great civilization. I give you permission to use: "Le Juif", "Judas", "Lucifer", "Le Faqihite", "Le Mouton", or "La Crasse". Pick one of them.

As for my name it stands for the Joumhouriyet el Moz that you turned our country into.

Bi mawtikoum ya3ishou loubnan! ;)
