Shells, Rockets from Syria Hit Arsal's Outskirts

Artillery and rocket shelling from the Syrian side of the border on Sunday targeted the Bekaa town of Arsal.
“Khirbet Daoud, which lies in the Eastern Mountain Range in an area adjacent to the barren mountains of the town of Arsal, came under artillery and rocket shelling,” Lebanon's National News Agency reported.
Lebanese “security forces cannot reach the area, which is disputed” between Lebanon and Syria, the agency added.
It did not report any casualties from the bombardment.
LBCI television said eight rockets fired from Syria landed in the area.
