President Michel Suleiman will unveil during the upcoming days his discussions about the necessity of re-launching the national dialogue with the different parties and the issues that should be tackled on the table, As Safir reported on Tuesday.

Presidential sources told the newspaper that the president is “determined to make use of the previous dialogue rounds to be a starting point for the new dialogue table in an attempt to establish a defense strategy.”

The sources noted that the president was planning to invite the different party leaders for talks, but the sharp division in stances and the escalatory statements made by the March 14 forces prevented him from carrying on with his plan.

The president “feared that some political forces might not participate in the dialogue, especially al-Mustaqbal movement.”

The March 14-led opposition insists on limiting the national dialogue table discussions to Hizbullah’s arms, doubting the objectives behind the all-party talks if the weapons article wasn’t on its agenda.

Meanwhile, Syrian Social National Party sources told As Safir that “the confrontational statements and the escalatory political rhetoric that is increasing the division and tension (in the country), will back down if the dialogue was launched.”

The sources said “we pledged the president to go on with the dialogue policy, but if he failed in getting a unanimous stance (from officials) then we should return to discussing the main issue which is the national defense strategy.”

We should point out that this national dialogue table is the biggest farce ever! It's neither national since syrian and iranian puppets are part of it, and there's no dialogue since not only Hassan cheated everyone on going it alone with the july war, not only since none of its agreed resolutions have been dumped in the garbage bin as some politicians reminded us last couple of days, but also today more than ever before, the brutal force which was perspiring then has totally come to light with both the preliminary elements of the indictment we know, and the smokeless and treachurous coup d 'etat which has been stagee against the constitution, the doha accord, etc,,, all subject to a variable interpretations dictated and imposed arbitrarily by one sided posseion of arms. Add to that that the proper constitutional forum to discuss all agendas had to be Parliament, and that the so called dialogue table concept was created to overturn the parliamentary majority M14 possessed in the afterm

In the aftermath of the elections to overturn the results and the aritmetics M14 enjoyed in parliament! So NO Mr President, NO to sitting with foul players at the same table, NO to illegitimate power holders, NO to suspects in the most horrendous political serial killings of our history, NO to unreliable untrustworthy polical Plotters! YES to discussing the disarmament of the Hizb militia, which is the only structural gamechanger that will set democratic institutions in motion all over again!
