A suspect linked to the Starco blast was released from custody on Tuesday, reported the National News Agency.

It said that Palestinian Fatah movement official Colonel Talal al-Ordoni was released by the Army Intelligence after hearing his testimony over Friday's blast in the Starco area in Beirut that saw the assassination of former Finance Minister Mohammed Shatah.

He was initially detained over his connection to the stolen vehicle that was used in the bombing.

On Friday, As Safir newspaper quoted a detainee identified as Abu al-Daoud as saying that the Honda CRV used in the attack "entered the Ain el-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp some time ago and was given to a man nicknamed Talal al-Ordoni.”

It later turned out that al-Ordoni is a member of Fatah Movement, not Fatah al-Islam as mentioned in the newspaper's report.

In an interview with al-Jadeed television on Saturday, al-Ordoni said he was willing to turn himself in.

I wake up on beautiful news. The Palestinians are cleared of all charges. Who remains? The Syrian/ M8 terrorist alliance.

Thumb sevilla 31 December 2013, 16:56

HA through its paid journalists such as Assafir newspaper marketed the idea the palestinians are behind the assassination. The real murderers are known to everyone. Hizb of deceit is the murderer.

Thumb geha 31 December 2013, 17:04

all the smoke screens will not work as all the Lebanese people know that hizbushaitan did it.

Missing ArabDemocrat.com 31 December 2013, 19:42

Fatah hands over its suspects to justice. The Hizb make theirs into icons and refuses to hand them over. Anyone that thinks that the Hizb is anything but an outlaw organization is delusional. Have you heard anything about the killer of Hashim Salman? Any of the Hizb blackshirt who assaulted the demonstrators were arrested?

even a Palestinian has confidence in the judiciary.
he went on his own to clear his name.

where are the wanted Iranian terrorists?

where is ali and rifaat eid?

Thumb cedre 31 December 2013, 22:44

it's obvious how they knew it...

Missing imagine_1979 31 December 2013, 14:21

Well at least this one turned himself to lebanese armed forces... When will hezbollah accept to turn the 5 inculpated in the asassination of hariri, kassir, hawi... Assassination attempts of butros harb... Ali eid for the tripoli bombings...
Palestinians are acting more descently that our fellow lebanese...
And one last thing: it is either zionist enemies, takfirists... (Abou adasss style), palestinians.. Always someone else.. But what if march 14 (the camp wich had 13 victims of political assassinations rill now) what if they were right?....
Sad times... No plus one today...

they are all dead. you must kill everyone involved so that the evidence is gone. mafia 101

Thumb ice-man 31 December 2013, 14:26

Poor HA.....

Missing peace 31 December 2013, 14:40

if HA was innocent in all the charges against them they would do the same... deliver the suspects and clear them from any accusations... but it seems they are not that innocent! LOL

Thumb FlameCatcher 31 December 2013, 15:53

HA would have never turned in a suspect. Even if they are requested for questionning by Lebanese justice. This happened with the Butros Harb assassination attempt where Hezbollah was caught red handed !

This crime has their signature or murdering cowards who commit attrocities and try to blame others despite countless amounts of proofs leading to them. And if such proof exists, they will still blame others for supposedly "fabricating" evidence against them.

This rabid dog needs to be put to sleep !

Missing servant-of-jesus 31 December 2013, 16:19

I know for sure they were caught red handed because my friend was the one who caught the guy.

Thumb -phoenix1 31 December 2013, 16:17

FC, the state does not request suspects to show up, it orders them. Our problem with our system is that it keeps requesting, when our state can order, then it means that we have indeed become a real state.

Thumb FlameCatcher 01 January 2014, 17:50

Off course ... question is : what would happen if the "state" walks into Dahyé to apprehend these criminals ? I'm pretty sure we know the answer : Hezbollah will be the next Assir shooting at the security forces and army.

I dare the state to walk into Dahyé and catch these criminals.

Thumb falanges 01 January 2014, 23:24

they should but propaganda is stopping them. hezbollah is weak and would get dusted in 3days against LAF and others

He was initially detained over his connection to the stolen vehicle that was used in the bombing. .............
What did they find out regarding the above statement? I am assuming he was cleared from both connections to the crime and connections to the stolen car, otherwise he should be held in custody.

Missing peace 31 December 2013, 18:20

sure it embarasses them !! LOL

Only disgruntled Lebanese support Saudi agenda in the region. Same goes to those who support Iran. I am not so sure how many Lebanese truly support uniquely Israeli agenda. Is it better to support Iranian/Syrian agenda over Saudi in the region? Or is better not to take any money from these foreign interests, not kiss anybody's derrier and stick to purely Lebanese issues. What has Saudi Arabia done for the Palestinians to find a solution with Israel with whom they both share the same ally, the U.S.? Instead they keep them in Lebanon and live in camps with arms that the Lebanese State has no jurisdiction while both Lebanese parties use them sometimes as their army, as their assassins and sometimes as escape goats. So, are will still bitching about which regional "opposing" interest we're better off with? These Palestinians deserve a home of their own to live, get educated, prosper and become respectable members of their society. But not in Lebanon.
