Acting General Prosecutor Judge Samir Hammoud stated on Wednesday that the corpse of the “emir” of the Abdullah Azzam Brigades Majed al-Majed has not yet been handed over to his family in Saudi Arabia, reported the National News Agency.

He told NNA: “The findings of the autopsy report will determine whether he will be returned to his family.”

The report is expected to be released on Thursday, he added.

Majed was recently by the Lebanese authorities.

He died in military hospital after the deterioration of his health.

Media reports said that he was suffering from kidney problems.

The Abdullah Azzam Brigades claimed responsibility for the November 19 bombings of the Iranian embassy in Beirut.

Majed was also wanted in Saudi Arabia on terrorism charges.

another mistake:
the autopsy will determine the family he has to be handed to, not whether he will be handed to it.

preliminary assessment based on image analysis already identified one family member:

the resemblance is striking.

FT. The truth of the matter is that both sides probably agreed to liquidate him as to not place Lebanon more between a rock and a hard place (KSA and Iran). Both these countries would have been pressuring Lebanon to hand him over to their respective judiciaries. Putting him on trial here is the last thing the "Lebanese" could do. So with the blessing of both had this problem resolved.

once again FT knows better than doctors who didn't publish the results of the autopsy!
what a genius he is! he has solved so many assassinations till now he should work for the police force! LOL

Your right FT, the army does have respectful and dedicated individuals, that was, until your moronic general killed them all in his foolhardy and suicadal escapades of liberation and cleansing. Those individuals you are referring to were killed by your pal Bachaar and entombed at the Baabda presidantal palace's football field and the rest rotting in your pal Baachar's jails. Every living creature from here to Timbuktu knows the story. How can your General sleep at night knowing all this? Was he too busy trying to sidestep the Maronite Church by celebrating Mar Maroon day in Syria? You and your likes are the lowest scum that walk the face of this earth.

the issue rony is that the saudi's said they wont give the money for lebanon, thats why they dont want the grant!
coz they wont be able to control who & how it spent, as the saudi's made it clear "they pay for the weapons" not they give money so the "great politicians "all of them" buy weapons.
hahahahaha
