Al-Nusra Front and Marwan al-Hadidi Brigades claimed on Saturday the responsibility for targeting the Bekaa region of Hermel with seven rockets.

The two extremist groups claimed the attack via twitter.

Marwan al-Hadid Brigades is linked to Abdullah Azzam Brigades, al-Qaida-affiliate.

Earlier, the state-run National News Agency reported that rockets fired from Lebanon's eastern mountain range landed Hermel.

The news agency didn't specify the number of rockets that hit the area.

The incident comes a day after four rockets hit the area causing no casualties but material damage only.

Syrian rebel fighters have claimed responsibility for firing many of the numerous rockets that have recently landed in Hermel.

President Michel Suleiman has repeatedly called for “adopting all necessary procedures to protect citizens and Lebanese towns and prevent any attack against them.”

This is why they went to Syria to protect Bashar's democratic regime... sorry I mean to protect Lebanon's borders from the Takfiri's threat. They are doing a beautiful job so far.

Question is... who's side are the army on?

Thumb beiruti 25 January 2014, 17:18

Rockets fired from Lebanon's "Eastern Mountain Range"? Is that the eastern slopes of Mount Lebanon or the Lebanese half of the Anti-Lebanon Mountain that we share with Syria? And you are right canadian_paul, where is the Army?

Like it has been said many times already, HA needds the extremist Sunni threat to justify their arms (Israel's card is getting weak, so they need another one).
