The Lebanese army has arrested a Syrian young woman who was videotaping a number of sites in the vicinity of the defense ministry building in Yarze, including the house of Army Commander General Jean Qahwaji, An Nahar newspaper reported Monday.

“The young woman lives in a building near the ministry and she used to practice jogging on daily basis and under the eyes of soldiers,” An Nahar said.

“That continued until an officer noticed from the window of his office that she had never showed up without her hand purse,” the daily added.

The officer then ordered army troops to stop her and inspect her purse.

“It turned out that it contained a video camera that was recording the daily movements at different times of the day,” An Nahar added, noting that investigations are underway to “identify who sent her.”

Hey Bashar. Your death squads never tire!

Thumb ice-man 27 January 2014, 19:17

private matter not political. Bashar does not need to send this woman when he has HA.

Thumb primesuspect 27 January 2014, 19:33

Maybe, maybe not. Either way evil Syrians r behind it. We should treat the syrian political powers like israhell.

Thumb _mowaten_ 27 January 2014, 20:31

rafehh: do you have any info we don't? because nothing says this has anything to do with bashar, or even "death squads"

Thumb cedars2 27 January 2014, 22:10

Ha ha ha ice man, as usual you hit the nail on the head...

Thumb saturn 27 January 2014, 19:17

They wanted to hire a Lebanese, but these days many jobs are taken by Syrians. This might be one of them. Muahaha.

Thumb cedars2 27 January 2014, 22:11

They got her at a "discounted" rate

Missing helicopter 28 January 2014, 04:23

They should find out what she does for a living, and how she earns enough money to live in Yarze and go on daily jogs. I am willing to bet that she is planted there by Syrian Intelligence (aka HA operative, dual spy).
Now I am going to be labeled as Sectarian by Josephani.

36 minutes ago Future TV: Army intelligence agents arrested two men suspected of writing ISIL slogans on walls in Akkar.

LOL.....! Half of Lebanon has the terrorist HA slogans written everywhere!

Thumb _mowaten_ 27 January 2014, 20:29

so popeye you're saying we should accept ISIL slogans?

hezbollah is a political party, made of tens of thousands of lebanese members and representing hundreds of thousands of people who voted for them. but who voted for ISIL? let us know if you support them and want to vote for them, because you keep saying you dont support them but never miss a chance to take their side...

the same way that future movement has the right to place their billboards, portraits of martyrs, and banners, why shouldn't HA? maybe is that your interpretation of democracy, "our posters are okay but not yours"?

Thumb popeye 27 January 2014, 20:42

For you HA is a hero/resistance, for the international community and for 80% of the Lebanese, both HA and ISIL are terrorists. Get my point now?

Thumb _mowaten_ 28 January 2014, 13:00

lol, gotta love em stats. for me and 80% of the planet you're as smart as a doorknob.

14 minutes ago LBCI: Reports that a Syrian woman had been arrested for monitoring the army chief's house are baseless.

Thumb _mowaten_ 27 January 2014, 20:30

i think you might be omitting a few possible players, surely your mistake was not intentional, i bet you only forgot.

anonymetexasusa, you must forgive FlimFlam he is distraught with the portfolio rotation crime… the thought of Aoun and his little son-in-law selling Hizbullah tee shirts on the streets for a living is too much for him to bear.

What really surprises me is M8 supporters. Even though we have so many evidences of the implication of the regime in the murder of many Lebanese leaders, as well as evidences of preparation of murder and bombing attacks, M8 supporters are adamant at supporting the Assad regime.

Thumb _mowaten_ 28 January 2014, 19:38

"so many"? show us some then, but here's the trick: partisan propaganda, rumors and baseless accusations do not constitute evidence.

Yawn, lbc said this news is baseless. Why the officer was watching her from his office window daily, on the other hand, demands an investigation as to wasting time and perversion.
