The army reportedly made public on Monday a list of eight cars that “could be used in terrorist acts,” demanding security checkpoints to seize these vehicles.

LBCI television broadcast what it called a “security” list circulated by the army's Intelligence Bureau that identify these 8 cars.

The suspicious vehicles according to the list are a Nissan Sunny 2012, a Hyundai Getz 2010, a Nissan Altima 2005, a Honda CR-V 2006, a Kia Cerato 2011, a Range Rover 2006, a 2010 BMW-X 2010, and a Chevrolet Aveo 2013.

Lebanon has recently been the scene of several booby-trapped car explosions that have killed and wounded dozens of civilians.

The latest round of bombings targeted the Bekaa's Hermel region and Beirut's southern suburbs of Haret Hreik, that was hit twice by blasts in January.

And in December 27, 2013, a huge explosion targeted the convoy of former Finance Minister Mohammed Shatah, killing him and several others that were at the scene of the blast.
