Abdullah Azzam Brigades Vows to Continue Targeting Hizbullah in Online Video

The Qaida-linked Abdullah Azzam Brigades shared a video on social networks, in which the group reveals how the attack on the Iranian embassy in Beirut was carried out, vowing to carry on targeting Hizbullah bastions if the party didn't withdraw from the conflict in neighboring country Syria.

The video entitled “the invasion of the Iranian Embassy in Beirut,” which went viral on twitter, depicts an interview with one of the suicide bomber, who reveals that he chose to “martyr to achieve great loses in the enemy's side.”

He notes in a Youtube video that he took part in the clashes that happened in the southern town of Abra, to protect his neighborhood and religion.

Salafist cleric Sheikh Ahmed al-Asir's supporters engaged in armed battles with the Lebanese army in June in the area of Bilal Bin Rabah Mosque and nearby buildings in Abra.

Asir, a 45-year-old cleric who supports the overwhelmingly Sunni rebels fighting to topple Syrian President Bashar Assad, had been calling for Hizbullah to disarm.

The suicide bomber Hizbullah secretary-general Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, pointing out that the number of “those who are ready to martyr is greater than the party's members.”

He called on Hizbullah to withdraw from Syria and the release of Islamist inmates in Roumieh prison in order to stop the attacks on the party's stronghold.

The video emerged a day after the army announced the arrest of a Palestinian leader in the Qaida-linked Abdullah Azzam Brigades and seizing two booby-trapped cars in Beirut and the Bekaa.

Naim Abbas is described as the group's number two man in Lebanon.

At least 23 people were killed and 150 wounded in twin suicide blasts that targeted the Iranian Embassy in Beirut's southern suburbs of Bir Hassan in November.

The powerful explosions just opposite the multi-storey embassy caused chaos, ripping the facades off nearby buildings and setting cars ablaze.

Hizbullah has dispatched fighters to battle alongside the Syrian regime against rebels seeking the overthrow of President Assad.

The conflict, pitting a Sunni-dominated rebel movement against Assad, has raised sectarian tensions in Lebanon and Lebanese Sunni fighters have also been killed while fighting alongside Syrian rebels.

Lebanese parties are sharply divided over the crisis in Syria as the March 8 alliance continuously expresses its support to Assad, while the March 14 camp voices its support for the popular revolt.

HA will never win this war and that is a given. The question is how many casualties and damage will the Lebanese incur in the meantime.

totally agree with your comment.

hizbushaitan opened the doors of hell on the shia community by creating extremists among the sunni community.

the shia community will pay for 7 ayar, abra, as well as hiding wanted criminals against m14.

they created groups willing to be suicide bombers, which cannot be stopped, and do not need heavy weapons or training.

these hizbushaitan created sunni extremists will cause so many deaths among the shia community and all that is thanks to hizbushaitan.

enjoy.....

Zip it, Salafist-jihadist terrorist.

Thumb joker37 13 February 2014, 15:16

yes hezbollah created extremists among the sunnis. thats why al qaida is a global phenomenon. i guess HA radicalised the 9/11 hijackers, and al qaida in north africa, and the takfirists in libya, and the salafists in egypt, and the chechen extremists, and al qaida in the arabian peninsula. these are all the products of the lebanese shia and are in no way part of a global takfirist trend.

there no such thing as terrorist organization in Lebanon neither quaeda or abdallah brigade , or , ...

Hezbollah, a terrorist party should be the first ones to know that you cannot stop such acts from happening again. You cannot cut the head of the snake as two heads will emerge. The only way to do so is to stop their ILLEGAL and UNSUPPORTED war.

ALL BLOOD IS ON THEIR HANDS !

I don't see the relevance of your comment and how this is an answer to mine.

My "women relatives" are worth a thousand fold the sum of all your crappy political idols. If you mother and sister get involved in warfare and terrorism, I assure it's not the same case with everyone !

Before talking about Arsal's women, why don't you have a look at what Hebzollah did with its women since they came to power. Tell me a little about the status of Shiaa women and how it evolved between the 70s (pre HA) and today... tell me about Mot3a marriage (legalized prostitution) and women's rights in Iran who get stoned to death ?

Thumb FlameCatcher 13 February 2014, 17:39

@Bigjohn : Iran and Saudi are not examples to follow. And letting a couple of women become ministers does not mean they are any more tolerant than Saudis towards women.

All I'm saying is to get out of this bipolar situation. Anyone following these countries has no place to dictate what the future of Lebanon should be or even discuss politics.

Well, I know one thing is for sure, whether we like Hezbollah or dislike it, one thing is for sure, Hezbollah is giving these sods the royal shaving treatment, and so much the better for them.

I dont condone any type of violence, because violence leads to more of it, and here is where HA is at fault. For how many years have the other sects in Lebanon fallen to HA nepotism and overpowering and imposition. How many politicians have died at their hands and the hands of Al Assad and no one has been able to do or say anything? I am not going to start naming them cuz I lost count, but now that sunni terrorists are taking part in this game of suicide bombings now everyone is alarmed? how come they have been identified and found so easily, but when a bomb explodes in ras Beirut or a M14 politician is killed, no one knows anything or says anything or no cctv cams are working and no ID´s are found? Anyway am just repeating more of the same but it´s just all to clear everyone´s mind and realize that if the sunni terrorists are acting now it is because of 20 years of HA and Assad oppression.
